Great for the price! Writes good and the grip feels nice 👍🏼 the only complaint is that it has tendency to cake up ink from time to time, but no biggy since it’s so cheap.

Back in college, I really liked Monami 153 pens for taking down notes. I couldn't find them for a good while since then. Good thing I decided to check on here. Now I've got plenty!I like the hexagon barrel and click mechanism. It doesn't have a clip but I always ended up breaking those off anyway. Writes very smoothly for a ballpoint (not gel) pen. It's not thick like most of the ballpoints you'd find at the big stores. On top of all that, it's relatively cheap! It's the perfect pen for my needs, and when I'm out, I'll definitely consider these again.

I will always prefer Monami pens. Coworkers quickly mention "That's a nice pen. " when I let them borrow one of my monami pens. I use the 153 Retractable Ballpoint Pen, Fine Point (0.7mm), Black, and the 2 Pens Monami 153 Ballpoint pen Body Gold & Silver. (more like brass) but nonetheless. Monami makes the best pen I've ever used.

I grew up with these pens and love them. Love that they're super light

I love the Monami pen. It writes smooth and feels good on my hands when I write. Most pens that I write with makes my hands tired very easily. These pens are lightweight that my hands and wrist do not tire easily. This is my go to pen since it does not ghost especially in cheap notebook paper.

The Monami 153 is a nice cheap pen. The 0.7mm tip writes decently for a ballpoint. The click is satisfying. I've only had a few pens with a side release, such as the Mitsubishi Boxy. It's actually a lot of fun. (BTW, these feel cheaper and lack the unique ergonomic feel of the Boxy but they cost less and write more smoothly.) These pens are pretty minimalist but that's okay. It's part of the charm and they work well for what they are. It's worth adding a few of these to your kids' pencil box, your home pen cup, or the office/school supply cabinet just for something new.
