Mueller B and K 103-054HN 3/4-Inch Hose Bibb

The Milwaukee valve was replaced with Homewerks. The 3/4” body has only 3/8” ball port. This reduces flow and increases pressure drop. Okay to use as faucet but with attached hose may result in significant loss of flow.

These values are of good quality but as other reviewers have noted, the diameter of the ball opening is very small and therefore there is a lot of restriction in this valve. Therefore, it doesn't allow you to throttle the flow of water very well and tends to spit everywhere. If you have a hose hooked up, this is not an issue. However, if you are trying to use it to fill up a bucket/watering can, note that you will be soaked.

We are living in an older home, built in 1947. But the faucets and hose-bibs are mostly worn form use and with defective washers; so when we install new washers, the faucets still leak. So I decided to replace them. I chose this Hose-bib because it is easy to turn on and off. It is made of good quality materials, and there are no leaks. Ease of use is a plus; and the nosed-down spigot is perfect so your hose doesn't wear a the faucet head. No more turning the faucet off with cinch-down strength or pliers to keep it from leaking. Just an easy 1/4 turn to the right or left and you have water or shut-off. I purchase 4 of them, and will get another 4 because they work so well. The price is great, the shipping cost as a prime member was "zero", and, of course, delivery was on target.

This review is for the Mueller B and K 103-054HN 3/4-Inch Hose Bibb.There's not much to say except it was easy to install and even easier to use. A half-twist is all it takes to turn it all the way on/off. I love this faucet.

This does operate easily with 1/4 turn to full on. Something to consider though is that it is very easy for an animal (dog, raccoon) to turn it on if within reach.The first I ordered seemed to lose a screw before I ever installed it, so amazon sent a replacement.I recommend using teflon thread to ensure a leak free seal.

I just got my valve today and installed it to replace a regular faucet. It was easy to install [I suggest you use Teflon tape] and it puts out much more water than the faucet did. Also, the valve is a bit smaller [as another reviewer mentioned] than the picture appears, but that is not an issue, nor a problem.The BEST part is that the valve turns on and off very, very smoothly and easily because it is a ball joint. And, the water pressure from the open spout is greater.I hope it will last for years. I will be replacing some of my other faucets as they start to go bad, as when the washer decays due to our semi-hard water.

I bought this for a rain barrel system, using the RainPro Brass Rain Barrel Bulkhead Tank fitting and it seems to work well. It is solidly made. This might be a no-brainer for people who do this more often but I did have to fiddle a little with adjusting/tightening both the hose bibb AND the bulkhead fitting so that the faucet faced in the right downward direction. I purchased two of these and will purchase a third for my next rain barrel as it is well made.
