Great quality.
I was looking for this book in a large format for my husband as a gift for a long time. This one is easier to read, the font size is better for the eyes, my husband is happy.

Величайшая книга
Затрагивает глубочайшие уровни души. Невероятно, как Достоевский смог прочувствовать, осознать и описать такие тонкие аспекты человеческих характеров.Качество печати и переплета обычное.

Bros K
Dostoevski is always great. When they first translated him, it is said that they edited him down to the story line, cutting out of his philosophical ideas. In Bros Karamazov, he said he was going to put in all his ideas, even if it ruined the story. His ideas, his view of reality is what makes the story, and makes it great. Its not a book about sex and violence. The murder of Karamazov is about the failure of moral feeling in a man who has been overcome by his own philosophical maze. The 'violence' is the physical expression of something much worse, a man who is loosing his soul in the 'modern' world.

This is a novel, however, the quality of this publication, i.e. binding, paper and type set is excellent.

Textbook Classic
The Brothers Karamazov is one of my favorite novels and finding a copy in the original Russian while I study the language is really nice. But this book is BIG! And difficult to read. I understand that Russian has a lot more words than English and that this novel is pretty long already, even in English. But the book is wide and the print is small. Not to mention the lines are justified rather than staggered, so long paragraphs are a pain to get through. I suggest finding another version of the Russian novel if you ever want to read it in its original language.

When you want to be quiet and read
We take the book and a mug of tea and enjoy it. The book is heavy in weight, but it's still a pleasure to hold a paper book in your hands. The story of the family doesn't let you go, even after the book is read. You keep thinking and thinking about the story
