AlcoMate Premium Sensor Module

I bought the AlcoMate AL7000 precisely because it was the only one that enabled you to replace the sensor yourself. I used this to replace my old sensor, and it was simple. Open the access door, pull the old one straight out (no tools needed) and snap the new one in. Now the calibration warning is gone from the device, and it works great.Update: After only about 3 months, I got a CAL warning. I ordered another one, hoping the first was just defective. The one that came in my AlcoMate lasted about a year.

Such a quick and easy way to make sure your breathalyzer is accurate. I purchased the AlcoMate AL7000 two years ago, recently took it out of retirement and found it was not giving accurate readings. Ordered this sensor module, which arrived within 24 hours. In less than a minute, I opened the sensor door, pulled the old sensor out and put the new one in. It works great, just like brand new. No concerns if the results are correct anymore. Should have ordered this sooner.

Keeps your breathalyzer up to date.

Most of the positive reviews seem to be for the AL7000 breathalyzer design and how fast & easy it is to replace the sensor module. The breathalyzer design gets 5 stars from me.I ordered this replacement sensor in Nov. 2023 to have it on hand when the orig one needed to be swapped out after 12 mo. The seller's description does not reveal that the sensor had an expiration date of Apr 2024, only 5 months after I bought it. That's like selling half-dead batteries to unsuspecting buyers. Since I bought it before I needed it, I'll actually get fewer than 5 months of usable life from it. 😠 As another stated, the box it came in was extremely flimsy and provides little protection for the sensitive electronic module inside.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I removed my current module and compared it with the Amazon and mfgr photos and it is the same, so I ordered and received next day, plugged it in and it works. Couldn't ask for more.

I can't really review the item as this sensor comes in 2 differant type of fittings (The white part) this one didn't fit my breatheliser But that was my faultAll I am saying if you order this item make sure the white fitting is the same as the one you are replacing

Do not use this device to see if you can drive legally. But, when it reads .000 you are good to g o

I accidentally dropped the AL7000 device and it started showing "Err2". Customer support told me that replacing the sensor would fix it since it is damaged. As they told the error went away after replacing the sensor.

This is the second module I`ve bought in the last year and have since found out they have an expiry date.The first unit lasted 3 months without hardly any use.The second unit expires in December this year.Beware.

the component came in a box that was damaged. The sensor displayed an error code 22. i had to order a 2nd sensor that worked. I would like my credit card refunded please.
