Q: what country are these made in?

They are made in China. Very pleased with them and would buy again.

Q: Are they thorn proof? My current clogs (and feet) have become like Swiss cheese walking on ground with one inch thorns I'm looking for a pair that wi.

They are definately tougher than clogs. The bottoms are more durable than crocs for instance. They are used a lot in our house for dog walking on wet days. The only issue my husband has had is standing on pointy stones which haven’t pierced the soles but they did bend his feet a little

Q: Do these have a thin heel? I'm looking for very thin heel shoes.

These are flat near as can be . I am very pleased with mine I wear them in the garden and on the beach. Not suitable for rough terrain as the soles are soft so if walking over a large pebble you will feel it. Another bonus is that they regulate the heat really well I do not wear socks with mine and my feet stay warm without sweating. If you are looking for a very thin-heeled shoe I think these will be fine.

Q: Can you get replacement insoles for these?

Unfortunately, we don't sell replacement insoles specifically for these shoes. However, you can buy insoles and cut them down to size.
