15' Extension Hose Wet Dry Vacuum 90512

First, I'm a DYI home owner and not a pro. I purchased this because I was planning to sand my deck and I wanted to attach the orbital sander to a vac for dust collection. This worked OK and I think its a fair price for what it is and I like the 15 foot length which keep my vac far enough from where I'm working with the tool. The hose is of average durability and susceptible to crushing if you accidentally step on it or or it twists up and kinks. Not a big issue - just be a little careful. What I did not consider is that fine dust will settle into the ridges of the inside of the hose so you need to shake it out when you are done while the vac is running to pull the settle dust that is in the hose into the vac. I also ran water through it to really clean it out after I completed my project. This is why pro use a hose that costs a lot more and has a smooth inside. Also, I didn't realize how fast a vac filter can plug with sawdust. Again I'm an amateur but this is why pro pay a lot more for a vac that is a 'dust collector' and vibrates its filter periodically to shake the dust free.

I use a Craftsman wet/dry vac with my scrollsaw to control the dust. As with most wet/dry vacs you get a short hose. I wanted to move the vac as far away from my scrollsaw to lessen its noise. I attached the new hose to the original hose and moved the vac and additional 15 ft. That dropped the vac noise a little with no noticeable suction lose.

Works great, makes using my shop vac much easier with the extended range. I've been using my large short hose and whenever I needed to move I had to pull the vac along with me. Now I just plug in my vac in the vicinity and I can reach almost everywhere I need to without dragging the vac along

What suction I lost does not out weight the weight of carrying or rolling the vac around. Find the right spot and never have to move the vac again. I could actually use about 6 more feet and still have enough suction.

Its not a bad hose, works for what I need it for. Its lightweight which is what I wanted, for attaching to a drywall sander, drywall sanding sucks so a light hose is great. Don't know about long term durability have only been using it for about a month, so far so good.

I wanted a much longer hose for my shop vac. I built an overhead platform in my storage shed for the vacuum. This hose allows me to reach all corners of my 10’ x 12’ shed. The Shop Vac attachments that came with it fit fine; suction is good and it seems sturdy enough. A lot of hose for the money!

Going from the standard length hose to this 15' hose made the Shop-vac so much easier to use. Need to be a little more careful when sucking up larger items so they don't get stuck in the longer hose. I originally bought this to connect to my pad sander to reduce the mess. Worked awesome!!

I got this hose to add to my shop vac cart and really like the extended reach I get with this hose. The standard accessories fit well and right on the hose like they were made to work with it.
