Great, but under certain circumstances.
I gave these a go, however mechanically my picking style just doesn't work right with metal picks. I have tried many though, and I can assure you that these are the best you will find! Addressing a few of the negative reviews...there is no grip, and I'm not sure where people got the idea that there would be. The holes in the pick are the grip. I added stick on grips to mine but it made the pick too thick for my liking. When I said that it depends on your picking style, I was referring to the angle by which you make contact with the stings. I typically have a 45 degree approach to my picking, and this causes a very harsh attack when using a metal pick. If you have a flattened stroke then these will be much better for you. I can't ding this item because of my picking style and instead am rating it on quality, description, and function through the eyes of a flat picker. My personal preference is the pick that you can see in my photo, right next to the teckpic :-)

The Chime of a .6mm Tortex, with precision attack.
Okay. Been playing Dunlop picks for 35+ years.. Sharkfins, Tortex, and recently, a heavier Flex, .. Been getting into some of the music from my youth, Dokken, Maiden, Satriani, Poison, Skid Row, MacAlpine, 80's Moore etc., after a couple of decades of playing more conservative technical acoustic type stuff for its commercial value; and for this heavier music I favored a heavier pick. I played a stainless-steel pick for about five minutes many years ago - hated it for some reason. But these Brass TECKPICKs are fantastic! All the detail of a .6mm Tortex - which I played for decades, but with an immensely more precise attack on tap for the hard-hitting chords, arpeggios, and the faster scales. And get this - they don't slip half as bad as a regular plastic pick! ..The brass seems to oxidize immediately which just adds to the grip! ..Just a wonderful upgrade to my sound and style. Love these things! Well Done, Jim! :0)

These brass picks are some of my favorite picks ever!
I've used metal picks most of my life. This is probably because I grew up far from any music shop and when I'd lose all my picks, I'd always wind up using coins because other plastic alternatives I've found or made around the house have never felt right to me.I find that metal has a brighter tone and more noticeable attack on solos and lead playing. I also find I can cut though the mix easier with metal than plastic. Plastic picks, to me, have a fuller sound but I like the jangle and twang from metal. I also have an easier time gripping metal picks.I've tried steel, copper, and aluminum picks too. I don't like copper because they often leave my fingers smelling very metallic. The aluminum ones are too light for me and they wear surprisingly quickly. The sound is also just not what I'm going for. Steel just doesn't quite have the feel or tone of brass, so I stick with these.I've had a lot of these over the years and have never had an issue with a single pick.

It works great!
The metal itself is softer than the strings so it kind of just shaves off metal. The only complaint I have is that there is several metal bits on my guitar from playing. But a great pick and very durable. Doesn't bend and nice grip too. If you're wanting to try or even stick with metal picks, these are great.

Wonderful, but brass doesn't come gripped
For reference, I play in c standard tuning with .12 strings. The ones i bought were the brass picks. I've had the blue pick and loved everything about the feel, weight, ease of picking, sound, etc. The brass ones are just as pleasant to play, but do not come gripped (from the picture, the aluminum picks have a texture where the thumb goes, but the brass does not: picks come as pictured), which causes them to feel a tad sliperry at times if you have a soft grip. However, the brass picks do feel a little smoother than the blue ones when picking. Overall, they are so wonderful that once I've started, I haven't played guitar without these picks!

Give em a go
Worth the obscene price tag imo. Even though they aren't textured, the holes (for the brass ones, I'm using the brass ones) keep it secure in your hands. You do kinda have to wash them off because they discolor quickly but they're good picks.

Great picks!
I have loved the red ones for years so I thought I'd try the brass. They are at least as good
