So far so good
This is a great piece of kit. I have a Zhiyun crane 2 and this fits it really well. I like the fact it breaks down into 3 pieces which are easy to pack away; a central grip for the gimbal and 2 articulating cross members that look like miniature pieces of a steadicam rig. It's build quality is robust - and reallyfeels sorted. Some of the release screws can be a bit fiddly to release sometimes but it's not a deal breaker. The adjustment screws for the spring tension to adjust for heavier payloads are again a touch fiddly but I can live with that as I generally don't find myself changing them that often. Now - does this thing live up to it's claims? Honeslty I think it exceeds them. It claims a 33% reduction in up/down bobbing on a gimbal. I reckon it's way more. I'm no gimbal expert but it brought about an immediate and highly noticeable smoothing out of my gimbal shots where I'm walking. Just another level of smoothness and polish that just makes it look better. Using rigid gimbal handles I can't get smooth shots - duck walk or not. There's always up and down bobbing noticeable.I've done daft things like jogging on the spot whilst filming and yes, you can pick up some movement in the shot but nothing like you'd think - and often times none at all. I think with practice and better technique I could run with this and get smooth shots to the point you'd be hard pressed to distinguish between it and a full on steadicam. As it is it's smoothed out my walking shots so that they are super smooth and I've been able to climb stairs and get really decently smooth results, no lurching up or down in the shot. It really helps by not drawing the viewer's attention to erratic or unwanted camera jerks - much more than I thought it would - as those unwanted moves are simply not there anymore.Compared to Zhiyun's own rigid gimbal handles - well there really is no comparison in a stabilisation point of view. The Zhiyun handles do offer more scope for moutning stuff as you can't mount stuff directly to the cross members of this device as they articulate up and down. Mount points are provided on top of each handle so you should be able to get at montior on one handle and something else on the other. All round a fantastic and ingenious solution for a decent price.

Super high quality, super smooth - must have for Ronin S.
Having bought the cheaper Start RC stabiliser, it has lots of problems: all plastic, bulky, slack springs, a pain to remove the gimbal. However the biggest problem with that one is that the hole is so small that the Ronin S has to go in SIDEWAYS. I quickly learned that wrecks the operation of the Ronin S because it always tends to recenter it when you move, which is a good thing normally. That means that with the camera facing sideways, you can turn the whole setup, but the camera won't turn because the gimbal thinks it should recenter. With this one, literally none of these problems are present.- All-metal design -it's classy, tough.- Higher tension springs (necessary for bigger cameras).- Really nice rubber handles.- Far easier to remove gimbal (one screw instead of four),- It's not bulky like the other one. You can also take it apart really easily.- It's really smooth - springs are perfectly balanced, unlike the StartRC.I've only used it for a few minutes so far, but it's just superb. So long as it lasts a long time, I couldn't be happier with it. If you're torn between the two, it's a no-brainer.Huw Rees Photography

Mine came with a fault.
Mine came with a bit of a problem, a screw through one arm (not the spring adjust) is too tight and causing friction so it doesn't move as freely as it should, I tried to loosen it but it is immovable and I think its been cross threaded when it was built.

it does help out a bit
its more as a gimmick, can't say it doesnt help, but if you walk carefully it does the same thing without draging all these flappy arms

Amazing peice of kit. Not much up and down movement any more- O boii im happy
Only one problem- Its just bulky and not so portable. my solution was the thule covert bag and use the tripod carry strap it to the outside of the bag and its fine.tested with a zihun crane 2

Good investment
Surprisingly effective. Well built - I use it with a Ronin S and BMPCC4k. Handles even large telephoto lenses.

A small thing that makes a big difference
I moved from a traditional gimbal with a hoop to the Ronin S recently and I was very disappointed with the results.I found some settings that improved performance in the app, but the thing that made the biggest difference to the Ronin S usability was this little gem.Its a simple idea and when you use it to begin with it feels like it's making the camera and gimbal move loads, but by some kind of sorcery it does the opposite and really does take out a good amount of the dreaded gimbal bob.Combined with the 'ninja walk' if had some really nice results from this combo. This product is made from metal and feels very well made. It looks the part as well when client facing. I would be interested to see how the plastic version compares, I almost went for that, but I'm happy with this one.I find that operating a gimbal with two hands braced against my sides causes much less fatigue that using the single handle mode. What this does is give me loads of options, definitely a worthy compliment to a Ronin S.

Non lo so
Si adatta bene al moza Air 2 . Ottimi materiali di costruzione in lega di alluminio di alta qualità. Provato a pieno carico . Prezzo secondo me molto eccessivo. Non dovrebbe costare più di 120 euro. Non so se ridarlo indietro ...ci sto pensando.

Unbrauchbar
