Professional 10.6 inch Kite Reel, Hand- Hold Steady Metal Roller with Belt for Big Kites

Wow, there is nothing cheap about this kite reel. Solid steel and heavy which is a plus for handling big and powerful kites. Excellent craftsmanship. I couldn’t find any flaws, none! This is probably the best for pro kitesurfing. Not for kids, per se. it really turns some heads when using it. It is the ultimate reel in my eyes. I have never seen anything like it. I highly recommend this to adult kite enthusiasts!

This reel is amazing! Though from China, it seems like something made in the USA in 1960. The movement of all parts is just amazing. Although it is more expensive than some reels, it is actually pretty low in cost for this kind of quality. Even the strap is amazing - it’s made like a seat belt. This might be the nicest thing I’ve ever received from Amazon. It will greatly enhance my flying.

What’s not to like? This is a beefy kite reel with all the bells and whistles. I can finally relax and enjoy a HARD pulling, hi flying extra large delta! I put a 1000’ of braided Kevlar on this bad boy and used every foot of it knowing that I could bring in down comfortably without any problems. I’ve used a cheaper reel and found it a daunting task to even let out 100’ and bring it back in. Not so with this one. No more cramped hands from holding on for dear life, just attach the included strap and enjoy hands free! Thumb brake for letting line out and secure ratchet for bringing it back in. If you’re flying large kites, this is the reel you need!

I bought the ocean /beach kite and wind speeds of 20 mph is really difficult to reel it in. So this reeler works so easily but pricey but it’s made by craftsmen and material is superb. Even thinking I could go fishing deep sea with it but I need a strap to hold me in a bolted chair .Lol just wishful thinking. It’s a premium product with very good craftsmanship.

Just received this on the doorstep today.You should know that this does NOT come with string (which I expected) nor does it come with instructions for setup and use!I'm surprised and disappointed that we're just supposed to figure it out, but maybe that's because this is supposed to be for professionals.Arrived intact, looks good, we'll see. I do have 50lb kite string. Bought this for fence lines on the property boundary.

Love this reel. Well made and hold lots of line.Be sure to tighten this nut and bolt. It came loose on me. Fortunately I had tools.

I am a small adult roughly 5'1" I have small hands, and the brake lever on this takes a lot of pressure to get the brake to actually stop the string. This item came with zero instructions, it took some time to get the string on the reel, it broke three of my fingers, and cut up the other hand. I fly very large kites 10-18 feet wing spans and heights of 5-9 feet. I have always used a metal string holder with a strap, thought a "fishing reel style" would be nice however 3 broken fingers and some pretty bad cuts... I will go back to the other string holder, that was made for me.

I'm a blacksmith and can't stand a tool that doesn't feel good in my hands, a little sanding takes the casting edges away and an irritating logo in the handle and adds a delicious smile on my face by the tactile enjoyment! Don't find yourself flying a kite without it! This is an 'adult' tool with fragile plastic and elaborate brass castings. The swivel line out gimbal may mystify the unacquainted until your first line spool out; when you can walk forward with dominate hand held forward instead walking backward in nasty environments with potholes, branches, and debris. No more tangled lines , bumbled lumber spools, and sticks! Love the Thumb brake in variable winds and spool outs! Get a lot of amazed viewer comments! Easy long out kite retrieval! If you failed brake adjustment on a 10 speed bicycle ... pass this one by!
