Great bumper for the price! But use some savings on a proper install!
Just installed this on my '14 TRD 4x4 shortbed Tacoma. Here are some things you should know when getting this bumper:This bumper ships in one piece (not sure why, the nylon threaded nuts are only good for a couple uses) and has the extra mounting hardware hiding in one of the inner boxes that is used as packing material. It consists of two bolts, nuts, and washers. The rest are in the bumper itself or the factory hardware. Just check the instructions for what you use. However, disassemble the entire Body Armor bumper before installing it to your truck or else you'll run in to some fit issues. Mount the winch plate hardware and then fit the bumper body on to that and tighten to proper torques. The company is fairly easy to reach for customer service issues and you can even speak to a tech for installation questionsThere is a factory gap between the bumper and stock fender. It is up to how familiar you are with these types of installs and your tools to show just how much of a gap it will be. Here's how I see it; you just saved ~$50 off just from ordering this bumper from Amazon AND it's free shipping. Not to mention a bumper of this style would run in the $1,000+ range with any other company. Spend what you saved and have it properly installed at an off-road shop. We managed to get the gap on mine to be smaller than the factory photos from Body Armor itself. Very nice fit!Only older Gen2 models (05-07 iirc) can still use the OEM fog lights with the new bumper. You will have to buy aftermarket fog lights that can mount to the brackets built in to the bumper for any other year. I use my fogs a lot in the woods so I took the liberty of ordering some brighter LED bulbs to mount in. They should be here shortly so not a deal breaker for me.You will need to trim away the stock plastic "air/splash" guards that hang from the front of your wheel wells. As the new bumper adds much needed approach angles for your wheels. Trim this very high up or else the remaining plastic will catch from winds of driving at 60+mph and sound horrible and/or catch a tire and rip off. Trim it almost to the next set of snaps and consider filling the gap with an epoxy or else mud will force its way in there while off-roading.These don't come drilled for a front license plate. If you want one you will have to drill in to the bumper. We drilled and tapped mine, as reaching back behind the bumper to fasten a nut on to the end was very difficult. Do it before mounting the bumper or through the fog light hole if you need to. I'd recommend tapping ONLY if you are familiar with taps. They break easy and are nearly impossible to extract.Does not come with D-Rings for the mountsI'd highly recommend getting a rear bumper at the same time as the front. The Tacoma is already VERY light at the rear end and adding this much weight to the very front of the vehicle makes for some strange feeling weight distribution. I installed the Body Armor rear bumper as well and the truck handles so much better it's a night and day difference.

Sorta good.
For the money, probably worth it, but has a few drawbacks.I installed this on a 2015 Tacoma TRD off road. This bumper is a nice heavy duty bumper for the price I haven’t found anything similar to compare to. The quality appears good. Here are a few fun facts I found somewhat annoying. This product requires the re-use of the factory nuts to mount the new bumper to the frame.Mine did not come with instructions. The shipping box looked like it had been through a war. So if there were any instructions, they were probably lost. I checked inside all packing boxes and packing materials and there are none. This product was sent through Amazons shipping service NSP. They did not deliver on time and were hard to communicate with. They will state on Amazon that your delivery is on hold until you communicate with them. It took an extra 5 days to get this delivered to my work, even though we have regular daytime business hours and a loading dock. The bumper install requires the removal of both front tow hooks, one bolt on and one has to be cut off with a cutoff wheel. Also all of the lower grill supports and the lower headlights support were needed to be removed in order to fit properly. I am still trying to decide how to keep the grill and headlights from sagging without these in place. I don’t like having the bottom of the grille and headlights flapping in the breeze. Perhaps some parts were also lost along with the instructions when my box came through the war? Some fabricating and welding will likely be required and I am disappointed. The trim pieces under the headlights are hard to get in place without something to mount them to, again with the fabrication.Factory fog lights will not fit, you will need to order some fog lights to replace the factory ones. There are mounting points to mount a single post style round fog light behind the bumper.Powder coat appears to be of average quality, I live in the upper Midwest and I will definitely have this thing sprayed with bedliner before it starts to rust through. So that being said, would I recommend this to a novice to install? No.Would I buy it again? Probably not, only because of the grill fitment.Overall it’s a good quality, just lacking in thought process to include things which I feel are necessary to make this install complete.

You need this bumper
This is bumper is super thick and can take some serious knocks. it mated up well with the front of my truck (2012 access cab 4x4) i welded mine because the nuts are on the smaller side. the winch mount came already installed on it. I picked up the bumper at the shipping warehouse so i guess you could say it was fast. I highly recommend you get someone to help you put it on the truck because its so heavy and akward to hold. I managed to get it on by myself so it can be done though. Durable as hell, made the ride on the front end smoother from the weight, powder coat is thick recovery points are solid i definitely would recommend it!

the bumper weights 250 lbs so it's a good solid bumper for a great price
2013 Tacoma bumper comes with no hardware to mount factory fog lights , has a gap between bumper and factory trim , the bumper weights 250 lbs so it's a good solid bumper for a great price ..it's worth the peace of mind!!

It was much heavier than advertised. I think they have switched from aluminum to steel. My son and I were able to install it and a winch in about three hours.

Great bumper, looks nice.
Really easy to install, took about an hour and only needed a little help from a neighbor to lift the bumper into place.

Bolted up pretty easy with my two buddy's I an hour
Comes with hardware, don't throw away the seemingly empty boxes. Its in a small green bag as well as instructions. Bolted up pretty easy with my two buddy's I an hour. Lined up with the body nicely.
