So far, so good.
I'll start this review by saying this- I've been using my dad's Bushnell binoculars, which are literally older than I am. Having a crappy pair is better than not having a pair at all. I'm sure they were great in the early '70s. They have a rocker- style focus which has been a thorn in my side. And the adjustable eyepiece is NEVER on par. At best, I can get a blurry and slightly doubled image. Now for the good stuff...As soon as the box showed up, I pulled them out and was immediately impressed with the build quality. It is alien to me that there are no moving parts anywhere. No focus, no eyepiece adjustment. I opened the front door and looked down the street. I was BLOWN AWAY. The image was bright, beautiful and perfectly in focus. I believe I said something like, "These things are awesome!" I can't believe how well these guys work. Perfectly clear images and plenty bright. They're just as impressive at night. I love how I can look at anything and it's always perfectly in razor sharp focus.I will agree that they only work well while viewing images at a distance. Anything closer than 60 yards or so and the image blurs. To me this isn't a problem. I use them for watching bad guys and reading license plates. I'm not looking at humming birds in my backyard. If you need to view close images even closer, these are not for you. Need to see what's going on WAAAAY over yonder, you won't be disappointed.Take all this with a grain of salt. I'm a nuub to this. There are $1000 binoculars out there, and I'm sure these won't compare. But compared to my dad's Columbo era binoculars, these are super sweet. Love them!

Bushnell Perma Focus 7x50 Wide Angle Binocular In Tanzania
The Bushnell Perma Focus 7x50 Wide Angle Binoculars were the ideal choice for my recent trip to Tanzania and the Serengeti. They worked perfectly for the application needed. A really happy surprise on just how well these worked. As we bounced around on dirt roads and cross country in Land Rovers, the Perma Focus feature was outstanding and made things simple and easy! :-) The magnification level was perfect for almost every scenario we came across. Anything that was outside of about 80 feet came through in crystal clear vivid color and clarity. It really made for up close and personal viewing of all the animals we saw. By far, these were the best investment I made before the trip! I can't imagine being without them now on such an expedition. Really fantastic performance and a great value to boot!!!! The vendor was fast & flawless in the transaction too. In my opinion you won't be disappointed with these binoculars. Troy :-)

Great Astronomy and Terrestrial Long Distance Binoculars
Bushnell Perma Focus 10x50 Wide Angle BinocularYesterday Inde the dog, and I went to Comanche Lookout Park and hiked up to the tower. While there I tried out my new Bushnell 10x50 Perma Focus Binoculars and tried some terrestrial distance viewing, and wow, they really do work. Like the reviewers stated, they don't focus on anything closer than about 100 feet, but everything else is really clear and sharp. I could read the writing on the Converse water tower with these things.I have looked at the moon, and the sun (with filters of course) and they are dead on with focus. It is nice not having to focus binoculars. They are truly amazing. They work equally well for my wife, who has much worse eyesight than I do. Truly awesome how they are just in focus all the time. They are so good for Astronomy since the distance is always great enough for things to be in focus, and I don't have to wrestle with the fact that both of my eyes focus differently. Somehow, with the Perma Focus binoculars, both eyes are just always in focus. Unbelievable.

Great binoculars, no batteries needed!
I just got these binoculars and tested them out... Amazing! I didn't know what to expect as I'm used to having to focus the binoculars manually. Picture is clear every time I look at something or when I transition the binoculars to look at something else. No batteries needed too! Kinda curious on how these work. At night time, there is no problem with focusing. I was able to look at the traffic down below me and, sorry neighbors, but I was able to see clearly and perfectly fine in the building across from me, which is probably about 150 feet or more away from me. Never tried focusing on anything closer at this time but I dont think I would use it on anything less than 100' out. I dont see a problem with these binoculars. I would probably use them for surveillance if I ever become a spy or something. By the way my eyes are about 20/40 in both... And I didn't use my glasses or anything... Seemed really clear... My eyes aren't that bad but I wonder how it would work on someone that was more blind. I would buy another pair if I lost these.
