Spiritual Realization is not far away.

James Allen has taken the known and lesser known versions of the Pyramid Texts and arranged them in an extremely well-translated and readable form, for professional to laymen. His immaculate notes to the texts render a new understanding of the texts, and take the mystery out of some of the more obscure texts. If you own a copy of Faulkner's Pyramid Texts, you should also include a copy of Allen's work alongside as well, as it may soon supersede Faulkner in a few years (it already has done so in most scholarly circles).Covered are the Pyramid Texts of Unas (Wenis), Teti, Pepi I, Merenre, Pepi II, and the rare texts of Queen Neith. There is an excellent concordance section by pyramid, location, and by PT numbering/other numbering. In addition, there is an index of spells which are not included in either Sethe's or Faulkner's editions, as well as a concordance with spells listed in the publication of the Pepi I texts by the Mission archéologique française de Saqqara (MAFS).An extremely well-written work, which I would suggest to anyone interested in the Old Kingdom Pyramid Texts of ancient Egypt.
