The Great Seitan
This is a great book and a better copy then I own already. I am looking forward to now being able to actually use the recipes that I never got to use much since the first one! The original "Old" from 1994 - copies binding literally fell apart when I opened it, so now a lot of the pages are loose and will need to be hole punched for a three rings binder. I hope this does not happen with this "New" copy. That being said be careful how old the copy is you purchase. Advice with new books to carefully stretch open the book with new binding. You'll probly see the old copy up for sale on Ebay soon now! After I get it into a binder :)

90's Style Vegan
This book brought me back to my early days of veganism, 20 years ago. That was way back when no one knew what a vegan was. Learning to replicate dairy, eggs, and meat was a seriously daunting process back then. The recipes were tolerable and you only tolerated it because you believed so strongly in not eating animals. Times have changed. People go vegan for other reasons now, and the food is expected to taste just as delicious as the non vegan kind.Now, things are better. Vegans all over the world have discovered much better ingredients and techniques than what we had to put up with in the 90s and before.I can't make these recipes because they're so dated and I'm afraid they'll taste like the vegan recipes I suffered through back around the time this book was written.There are much newer resources available now in other books as well as YouTube and blogs. The information has been updated so I wouldn't recommend using this book if you're new to veganism.

Cooking with Seitan
The book was delivered with speedy service. The cost of the book was the shipping fee and the book was in (new-like) condition.The subject of the book (cooking & making seitan) is a rare find and I am very happy to have it. I am very grateful to the personwho sold it to me. It has opened up a whole new way of cooking in my small kitchen at home.

Ok if you are a beginner at making seitan
I liked that it went into some detail about making basic seitan, so the book was somewhat helpful. I really didn't like the recipes that much because they didn't appeal to my taste and I also didn't see anything special in them. Suggested improvements: give the reader ways to make seitan more versatile by giving tips on changing the texture.

Seitan Quickly
Cookbook on Cooking with Seitan was in excellent condition and arrived very promptly. The book itself wasn't all I had hoped--too many weird ingredients that I can't begin to find--but that is NOT the fault of Amazon or the bookseller who sent the order.

Cooking with Seitan Is Helpful
This cookbook is very thorough. Explains the best ways to use seitan. Helpful explanations for how to avoid mistakes.

Disappointing
Not keen on this cookbook. "Cooking with Gluten and Seitan," by Dorothy Bates, is much more useable and versatile. The recipes in this particular book that I've tried have not been all that palatable. Will probably donate this cookbook to the local library sale.

Disappointing
My vegan husband has recently become a seitan enthusiast so this recipe book seemed like a great idea but the book is not purely vegetarian/vegan (there are recipes for fish etc). What is also suffers is the lack of well-shot colour photos, or in fact photos of any kind and I would highly recommend Lauren Ulm's 'Vegan Yum Yum' as a comprehensive and modern alternative and would also refer you to 'Vegan Dad' on the internet for some brilliant seitan recipes. I sent the book back for a refund.

Ich habe zwar erst drei Rezepte ausprobiert, aber die sind gelungen und waren auch sehr schmackhaft. Schade, dass es kein vergleichbares Buch in deutscher Sprache gibt...
