Pinnacle Speaker QP 9 Wood 9-Element Speaker Bar

I purchased one of these after reading all the glowing reviews and MAN was I dissapointed, first off the reviews that said it was power hungry were spot on, it has a very low sensitivity and it shows second and most important the sound: muddy, flat the highs were very dull and it had a small sound to it. I wanted to downsize my current set up (Sony floor speakers and Sony center channel) and my Sonys blew this thing of the map even just having my Sony Center channel hooked up by itself sounded way better. I realize that my current speakers are bigger but I still thought this would sound good and I was wrong. I sent it back the next day. I have heard powered sound bars in the $200 range sound better than this speaker. If you want good sound in a L,C,R all in one speaker bar I would skip this...not impressed!

I am only giving this speaker a four (4) star rating because, while it completely fulfilled all of my expectations of a soundbar, I still feel that the sound could be a bit better. The speaker MUST be paired with a subwoofer to give it that full range. The speaker is an excellent option to delivering full three channel sound from a single source if you already have rear surround installed.

I'm not an audiophile. I wanted to get a decent soundbar, so that I mount it under the TV, and move the front speakers out of the way of my growing one year-old. This product looked decent. Bought it, connected... The sound quality is just... blah. No definition (quiet conversations sound muffled, hard to discern words). Music sounds like it's playing into a pillow. A thin pillow, but still. They're also significantly more quiet overall than my current speakers.Current receiver: Onkyo 5.1 receiver with HDMI to the TV.Current speakers: Klipsch Quintet SL 5-speaker setup with Polk Audio 11" subwoofer.I had to return it. It's just not good enough. Looks like I'll either have to mount my current speakers on the wall, or spend 4 times as much on a *good* soundbar.

Coming from a full polk theater setup, cs400, rt800, fx500, I needed to downsize for the new room. Had a samsung Ht-WS1 2.1 sound bar, but it was always lacking. Took a shot at this setup since I already had a Denon AVR729 receiver and couldnt be happier!I set up the LCR to run at 5.1 and the clarity of the speakers is amazing! Crisp highs, great vocals, voice front center are clear as day! I can say that this bar blows my polks out of the water for clarity, the size is right and price is affordable!

Love this speaker(s). Crisp, clear tones. Makes it so much easier to hear what they're saying on tv, and sounds great with my music.

Crank up the volume to max and still no cracking. the sound will blow you away. excellent quality box and speakers...

We use this for an office screen that plays music throughout the day. It's wonderful for that purpose.

Good to use as center speaker. I have connected L+R speaker in series and both in parallel with the Center. That makes total impedance of the speaker bar more than 5 ohms. I drive the bar as center speaker with Sony 7.1 110W/channel. The speaker bar fit in my my other Klipsch Reference 28s and 15s very well. However as other reviewers mention the sensitivity is low. That issue can be taken care off by increasing level of center to +10db while keep fronts at +1db and rears to +5db. Overall, it's a solid high quality speaker bar. Good to use for movie and music.Updated on 12/2015, The speaker still works fine so far. I've added the wiring diagram that I used to use the bar as a single center speaker.
