I have been searching for the right Parasol Base for ages. There are hundreds of options. I wanted a product that will be studry, but alos allow me to move easily my 3m diam. parasol (on a 3.8 cm diam. pole) without having to bend down or pull heavy bases. Also, I wanted something that looked elegant and not a cheap piece of plastic that I had to fill with sand or water. Well, I found it. This is the product. It is PERFECT for these needs. 4 wheels and a heavy base makes the movement of the parasol across my rather uneven patio effortless while keeping the parasol secure. The deep grey rattan looks elegant without being overpowering and is the right size for this parasol. Neither too wide, nor too narrow. Assembly is easy. Having an electric screwdriver may help with screwing the wheels on the base. However, a decent screwdriver is provided with the product. I used a rachet wrench for the main screw nad worked perfectly. I am very happy with this product and I am delighted to recommend it. If you want the same functions from a parasol base that I did, look no further.

No more need to keep a wary eye on a parasol that may or may not topple onto you in a gust of summer breeze - this is a serious base with enough weight to take a weight off your mind. The wheels make it easy to move. Looks fine too.

Solid piece of kit, very heavy, does the job.

made of excellent resin and metal (even the screws), looks durable, and is nicely designed. It combines good weight with mobility, but has just one annoying fault: the 16 screws that fix the four wheels to the base are hell to insert, and require more force than even a good screwdriver and bit (not to mention the flimsy little metal screwdriver provided) to tighten sufficiently. Please, either supply the base with wheels already fitted, or tap the screw holes with more care!

This umbrella stand is wonderful. It was so easy to put together and the great addition are the wheels for easy manoeuvrability to the position that is wanted. No more heavy lifting thank goodness. We have bought 2 as they are really sturdy and we have a rather large deck area to cover when it’s boiling hot. We think they are well worth the money

Yes it's heavy but that's how it should be to prevent your open umbrella from blowing over in strong winds. My brother found it easy to attach the castors and place in position on the patio. It's super easy to manoeuvre and also lock/unlock the wheel castors. Pricey but worth every penny, I wish I'd bought one years ago.

Wheels are a little fiddly to attach but so helpful when needing to move the base. Base itself is sturdy and has kept our umbrella anchored even in quite bad wind. Very happy!
