Addiction (The Hunted Series Book 2) Kindle Edition

This was a really well-written second book! It kept my interest and I really enjoyed it. The pacing of the story and the focus of this second book is different from the first book, but it worked well. The first book was about passion and the tension of the new and forbidden relationship. This second book was more about their relationship growing, and in my opinion, it was more about Penny and James falling in love. As a side note, I would also like to compliment whoever created the cover art for this series! The chosen model totally embodies James, from his looks down to the suit he wears. Very nicely done!

Penny's story had me in tears. With the relationship between her and Professor Hunter getting more complicated, to secrets being revealed, to a devastating break up my heart was breaking for Penny. Even though it seems like he is doing fine on the inside his heart is breaking just as much. He truly loves Penny but until he opens up completely to Penny their relationship does not stand a chance.What a great series. Ivy Smoak really knows how to captivate you with her stories. Definitely a series I recommend.

I’m consumed with this series! It’s thrilling, exciting and sweet. I keep trying to put the book down before midnight but I cant, id rather being tired the next day and read a few more chapters then put this down. I feel like I know these characters

I wanted to start out by saying that this is the 2nd book in "The Hunted" series. That being said you will need to read the first book to know what is going on in this book. It is not a stand-a-Lone series. This book also leaves you with a To Be Continues in Eruption message. I just want to put this out there because some people do not like book series books.Addiction picks up with Temptation left off. This book took me through so many emotions. There was sadness, heartbreak, happiness, love, steam, passion, a little suspense, anger, distrust, and Happiness. I am sure I could think of some more, but you get the point. Penny and James have to learn how do cope with their feelings for one another and learn how to trust one another. Do you do what you feel in your heart or doing what others feel is right. They face a lot choices, and problems. As a reader you will take in all the emotions and want to power through this book to see Ivy Smoak takes Penny and James in this amazing story.I just recently finished reading the 4th book this "The Hunted Series" and Addiction is probably my favorite book in the series. For me Addiction is a pivotal part of the series. There are a lot of pieces in this book that make the other books after it meaningful.I absolutely love this series. It has taken me on a wonder journey of emotions. If you like to to read book in a series that you never know what is going to happen next with lots of emotion and passion then I highly recommend this book series.

James and Penny have a lot of ups and downs in their relationship. He has lots of secrets and she doesn't exactly trust him 100%. Isabella turns up the heat by leaking James and Penny's story to the press. Things really get bad for both of them James quits and Penny becomes the University pariah and the press hounds them. Tyler remains a steadfast but hopeful friend even though he realizes Penny really does love James.

The title for this book is pretty fitting because I have a new addiction to this series. James and Penny are just one of those couples you can't help but love. Despite their faults and how quickly their relationship is moving. I couldn't put this book down! I adore how much they care for each other and have each other's back. I was constantly swooning over Professor Hunter. This is a pure guilty pleasure read. It's steamy and adorable!!

I wrote a review on the first book and said not to bother, but I have to eat my words. Something made me want to read the second to see what happened in the relationship. I had to know. This is a sign of a good writer if you cant stop thinking about it. I also thought about some of the stupid things I did when I was 20 that made me feel a little more in touch with main characters. I think they redeemed themselves in my eyes in the 2nd book. Sex was still hot.

Let me just start here - if this is the first series you are reading from Ivy, you're in for one heck of a ride. The stories she weaves with these characters pull you in so hard and the next thing you know, it's Monday and you've read the entire weekend to the point you're mad when Monday hits because you have to stop reading long enough to go to work.Addiction is something else. I still don't really care for the female lead, Penny, but I love her for James. They're a perfect match. I am super excited to read the next book in this series and follow Penny and James' journey further into emotional chaos. Can my emotions handle it? We'll see. Seriously, read the series. You'll love it.

I downloaded book 1, Temptation, for free on Kindle thinking this was a standalone. I become so engrossed in the story and didn't mind when I discovered at the end that this was the first book of a series and I needed to be read all of them to complete the story of Penny and James. I headed straight to Amazon and download the next 3 books, Addiction, Eruption, and Devotion. I consumed all 4 books in one weekend and went to work on the Monday after having just 2 hours sleep as I couldn't sleep until I'd read the rest of book 4. It was months ago since I read a series of books so frantically and everything else was put aside so I could just sit and read. The story of Penny and James does continue with a fifth book, The Light To My Darkness, but I'm unsure if I'll read it yet as I'm currently happy with the way things ended in book 4

Yet again ivy has written a heartfelt, wonder what's going to happen next story. I loved finding it unpredictable. Never a dull moment in this book. I'm going off to read the next book now.

Penny is madly in touch with her college Professor Hunter, but people are trying to warn her off him. There is 8 years difference, but the pair think that is ok. What if the professor hiding ?

Adore this series, it has so much love and real life problems it in. A story that will make you cry ; laugh and it is smoking hot in parts. A must read for the incurable romantics.
