Q: Has Joe Demb changed the adhesive so it doesn’t liquify after a few years and get sticky goo all over gear near it in your bag?

I just bought 4 about 1-1/2 - 2 years ago now, they are not liquifying in the bag, but it has leaked stickiness on the flash's!

Q: Anyone compared this to the Rogue Flashbender or a similar bounce/diffuser like the Rogue?

When I designed the Flip-it 20 years ago, I made it for my own use as a wedding photographer. My needs were for lightness, speed, and the ability for it to look new for a long time. It is 1/3 the weight of the Rogue. Pertaining to weight, the sensation is of having nothing on the flash. The friction hinge allows you to memorize positions and select what you need instantaneously. You don't need to look. Just position the reflector by memory and shoot. Ask yourself if a position-able fabric reflector would work as fast. Perhaps it would for you. Personally for me it seems the hinge is a better answer. The attachment system allows mounting on either the back or sides of your flash. By mounting on the side and twisting the flash 90 degrees, you may use the Classic Flip-it for vertical as well as horizontal photos. The reflector is made of the same plastic (Kydex) as that used for airplane fold-down trays. Think of how often they have to be washed or cleaned with solvents. Would a piece of white fabric look as new after a few years of use? I know the Rogue is a popular product and that many people are happy with them. When thinking about differences, however, these are the things that come to my mind.
