Outstanding Panasonic KX-MB2030
Let me say that this is one outstanding printer! I had looked and looked and studied multiple all-in-ones prior to just stumbling upon this one. I had set my mind on a Brother until I found this one and let me say that I am not disappointed. What does disappoint me are the individuals that give the product low star ratings, because they either don't understand a network enough to hook it up or just didn't read enough about the drivers for a MacIntosh computer. Please understand that I mean no disrespect to anyone by this last statement, I understand that things can become very frustrating at times. I'm the worlds worst on some of the most simple of things. Before I purchased this printer, I did a web search on Mac drivers for this particular new Panasonic, because I had read the disappointments out there that one did not exist. I thought that in 2010, who is making a printer that is not Mac compatible. Well, I found out that there is one and I downloaded it from Panasonic's website just in case I did purchase this unit. I ultimately did purchase it and have no regrets. Before I proceed any further, let me give the web address for all that have a Mac that need the driver. [...]Download the driver, execute the setup to your main Mac hard drive. After you've done that, save the downloaded file to a familiar folder should you need it in the future.I simply used an existing Airport Express that was already in the existing wireless network, because Apple products effortlessly talk to other Apple wireless products. Once you plug the USB cable from the printer into the Airport Express, go into System Preferences/Print and Fax and click on the "+" to add a new printer. It should immediately recognize the printer by its' name of "KX-MB2030" and just add it, you'll also see an oval click button to add a driver. Click on this and scroll through, you should see the Panasonic "KX-MB2000" driver appear. The same driver works for all three in this line. Just click it and your set.Ok, now that I've got that setup part down, setting up the actual printer is absolutely simple itself. Just pop the toner into the other piece that comes in the foil bag, place it into the printer and your set!The printer is fast, it's quiet in my opinion, the prints are exceptional and it makes very good copies that could not be more simple either. I have not tried the scan, fax or email functions, but I have no doubt that they will work fine. The gentleman that did the video review covered them and they do seem to work fine. I disagree that this printer is overkill for a home environment though. I've found that it's just as important to have office quality products (for the most part) in the house to avoid the "China Syndrome" issue of just basically being junk and crapping out. I realize that a lot of this stuff is made there, but the more you spend, usually (I stress USUALLY) does come with better quality. I think this printer is fine for the home environment.I'm not going to go into any more of it as it really gets good reviews and I think most others have covered that. My main concern was the "Mac Compatibility" issue and the hookup issue. It really is a piece of cake and works perfect in an Apple environment. If you have other questions about that, just respond to this review and I'll try to help out as much as possible. Thanks for reading and don't be concerned if you are in an "Apple" environment.Cheers,Mitch

Good printer - bad support and no parts
I bought this printer to repalce the Brother that I had that was hard to scan with. I have had the printer of less than 2 month and now, even though functionally the printer is good, practically it is awful; I cannot get toner for it. I emailed Panasonic, and was told they cannot help me because I did not order the Toner from them - so if I were you I would order anything but a Panasonic printer

Toner and drum replacement issues
The printer itself works ok...prints fine, fax works great, scans are mediocre-even from the glass because they turn out lopsided, printing envelopes or labels always turn out crooked as well and after having the machine for about 5 months I started having a line down the center of ADF scans and faxes but that was gone after I opened the lid and vacuumed. I have a few other issues: whenever I use the machine it causes the lights in my office to flicker until it goes back into power save mode (I am in an old building but my other two printers didn't cause this), every day at noon it comes on by itself--causing the lights to flicker and the BIGGEST issue for me has been that the display is now reading drum life low. I have had the printer about six months and have gone through a little under a half a case of paper and when that display came on, I had JUST changed from the original toner cartridge. If I have to change the drum with every toner cartridge, I will be rethinking the economic value of this little guy. The other thing that is a pain about replacing the toner and drum is that they both are difficult to find! You can't just walk into Office Depot and get it. I know I should have looked into that before I bought the printer. They both have to be ordered online and currently the drum is backordered on the Panasonic website. I am hoping that doesn't mean that the part will soon be obsolete...

Great IF you could get toner!!!
Very solid printer and very easy to use (although installation may try your patience). There is a HUGE issue! There are no toner cartridges available (except for the starter cartridge that comes with the unit). According to Panasonic, they had not anticipated selling as many units so therefore did not manufacture enough toner cartridges. So, if you don't have time to fight with Panasonic for toner, there are plenty of comparible printers out there! I would gladly given this unit a 5 star IF you COULD GET TONER.
