Don't let the color-chart fool you, "Cadmium Red, Light Hue is traffic-cone orange!"
While we use these paints for our art classes liberally, buying them online has been a nightmare. You can only rely on the color-chart at your own-risk. The colors have been named/identified by someone with a serious problem. One, "Cadmium Red - Light Hue" is the color of an orange traffic cone. Looking at the color-chart provided in the item listing, we expected a vermilion, but that one isn't even close. Just call it fluorescent orange and be done with it! And "Magenta - Medium"? Pepto-Bismol pink! In what universe is that magenta?? The makers of these paints are on the paint-ID struggle-bus. When photos of the actual tube are provided, go with those. The chart is a lie.

The bronze is penny colored, which is what I wanted
I bought the bronze color paint. I chose it going by the color shown in the photos rather than what they named the color (risky, I know) because I wanted something copper-toned that wasn't *too* red or pink, but more of a natural copper color. This fits the bill. The paint is a reddish brown "penny" color under normal light, not a yellowish brown color like actual bronze usually is -- if you're looking for a bronze color. However, when light reflects straight off of it, sometimes it can have a golden/bronze cast depending on the angle. The paint isn't super thick, it goes on evenly and smoothly. If you want really good coverage, you'll need to put on more than one layer of paint, and preferably over a darker color. I did swatches of 1, 2, and 3 layers on black and white sketch paper using a soft brush. Getting a good photo was impossible because of the metallic reflection. I took one with light overhead and one without.Overall it would be better if it was more pigmented, but it's really not bad for what it is. I'm planning on using it for decorative purposes anyway, probably with a copper-toned or brown basecoat and this on top.

I LOVE Liquitex Basics acrylic paint
I LOVE Liquitex Basics acrylic paint! I think I have every color! I've never had any issues with them being too thin as I have with other brands. Colors are vibrant.

quality seller
one of the biggest problems i have with paint in these plastic tubes is there always seem to have some missing or it is diluted. Especially this color,, prism violet which no one else makes and is impossible to replicate. The reason it's so easy for the paint to be siphoned is the tube does not collapse so you can't tell. My last 2 from ebay were actually lighter!1So I am thrilled with this seller. The tubes were noticeably heavy, they were sealed and packaged separatelythis seller is a keeper!

Brilliant Blue is NOT the color shown
Let me say first that I order ONLY Liquitex acrylics and have been nothing but very pleased with each purchase. However, this is the only time I've encountered an issue. The color square displayed for Brilliant Blue looks more on the green/blue side....similar to a phtalo turquoise and that's why I ordered it. As you can see from the photo I'm posting with this review, it is more of a sky blue. I'm positive the quality of the paint itself will be excellent. It's just the photo of the product itself is misleading.

Find out for yourself.
Let me be the first to say, reviews are great. Since I've been exposed to reading reviews before purchasing.. I almost never buy without doing so. It's saved me some great headache, led me to some favorites, and let me learn from my own mistakes. This had mixed reviews.. on various websites I read on and on about it being.. as it's labeled... "basic". I was led to believe this was of low quality and I should pass it up. However.. I ignored those reviews, as I sometimes do. To say the least, I'm glad I did. I love this paint. I love how smoothly it applies. It's a great cover paint, which can be hard to find in whites. I've never had a problem using it as even my sixth layer. Add water, and you have a great glaze. Don't be fooled by negative reviews. Think of it this way.. it's cheap. If you hate it, you didn't waste much money finding out for yourself. I for one, love it and am glad to have found a wallet friendly paint to add to my palette.

Nice
I have used several brands. I'm still trying to figure out the good ones. There are a few good brands on here, but I just needed a few colors. This has a nice consistency. It's like the texture of icing. It is very pigmented and lays down nicely. **UPDATE** This review was for the white and red. I used the deep violet yesterday and it was not good. It is runny, requires another layer of paint at least. It must be the different recipes they use to make it. Now, I don't have this problem of trial and error with Colortech paint on here. I think that's the name. The white and red were good. Just don't want to have to guess.**

Economic and ok
Cheap big tube of acrylic paint for school painting classes. i would not use it for a pro work as pigments are not the best, but it is fantastic for beginners and students for example. The paint is not too runny and not too thick either, but it does its job very well. I usually do two layers to make sure it covers the canvas. I am very sensitive to odors and the smell is close to none. However I would use it close to an animal or a baby. Protect your floor or anything around if you do not have an atelier, and put on old clothes because acrylic does not disappear easily once it is in the place. A good purchase that will last as the tube is big (8.45 -oz).

Excellent coverage, well impressed.
I love this product, I've used it to paint pinecones, the coverage is fab, the colour is amazing it's so shiny, the picture is with only 1 coat, it's not runny like most acrylic paint, it's quite thick but it goes a long way, I also purchased a red colour but the red is like a matt, defo recommend.

fantastic product
I personally love this product. It mixes well with other colours (some whites turn the colour grey and/or dull )I'm no expert, however I find its quality is better than the price. Its thick, where as I have bought similar priced paint and found it to be thin and runny.Value for money 100%Doesn't turn the colours into grey and muddyFast delivery (depending on stock)Easy to use tubeWorth every pennyWill buy again

EXPENSIVE dries and mixes well
I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer and user of this type of item.I have always enjoyed doing small lightweight activities preferring for example making a jewellery box to a blanket box.Lockdown has led to new activities including the making of latex moulds and decorating same.Latex paint is said to have weather resistant quality so I picked if for the variety of fairy doors and similar that I have been making with my bright three year old granddaughter. There is a very wide range of colour, these paints intended for real art.Red, Blue, etc, all the primary and many in between with made up names for a tone of whic ever colour. They mix fairly well and stay useable without getting lumpy for about 20 minutes in small quantities.Sold in Jars and tubes through Amazon they are really quite expensive as opposed to high street shop prices,!especially the works at less than 50% of Amazon cost.Even allowing for my prime delivery convenience the cost saving if you can get to the shop is hugeOverall. EXPENSIVE but Bright colours, mix well and dry on a variety of surfaces quickly.

I purchased 15 or 17 bottles at once of different colours--to this review is for all of them!
It is a good quality paint for anyone who is not a professional--I can say I would buy it again, but it appears Amazon.ca (Canada) has a problem when you are looking at items to purchase--the majority of these paints were anywhere from 7.95--13.00 (rounded) but when I go on now it is crazy they say it cost anywhere from 35.00 to 50.00 or more for one bottle--they need to fix their website because if that is what they think we will pay this kind of money for 4 ozs of paint they are going to lose a lot of online purchasing and will go to the local stores instead--and it is not just acrylic paint--it is other items I have viewed and the price keeps changing overtime you go on it.
