Q: Are the drawers adjustable? It's hard to tell by looking at the picture!!!

There are 4 drawers and 6 slots they can be inserted in (3 each in the upper and lower locking bays).

It's plastic but very sturdy once put together (: I like it

Q: Can I attach the rod slot attachment to the right side of the cart where the rod rest attachment is shown under the dryer rest (reverse of picture)?

The bottom rod already has one on the other side. The round blow dryer holder can be positioned also in the corner diagonal to shown

Q: Looking to get my daughter as a gift, she's a new cosmotologist - will the drawers attach to the top of the tray while working?

The drawers stay inside the cart. However the sides you put product and brushes . This cart is high quality there are a lot out in the industry and this is sturdy lots of space . I use the top of my cart for color mixing and my combs andx such. I highly recommend this product
