Misleading wording in the product title and description
I bought this thinking it was from Triangle Labs. It is not. It is from a company I have never heard of. DotBit. Guess that is what I get trying to find a more convenient place to buy these clones from as Aliexpress has decided my password is no longer any good and they won't let me reset it. Well, I will find out how well this one works. I will update this if I find problems with it. This extruder is workable, but you will need to shim it like the other reviewer said. The filament tension lever is extremely loose in the housing. Dotbit didn't do a very good job of copying the copy.

Good value
I put this on my Creality Ender 3 printer with a knock off E3D V6 hotend and setup as direct drive. I don't know how the real extruder works, so can't really compare. But compared to the best of the original Ender 3 extruders, this is hands down better. Since it's geared down you WILL have to change the extrusion step/mm value. Mine went from about 100 to over 400! But that's easy to do, just find a youtube video on calibrating the extruder. This thing really grips the filament. There were no directions how to set the tension screw, but again Google saved the day, turn the tension screw clockwise until it stops, then back it off about 1.5 turns. Since it's geared down so much, you can put a smaller pancake type stepper motor on as well, if you want to reduce the weight on the gantry.

Works perfectly.
I purchased this because I did not want to spend the $80 on the original. It works perfectly. If this does not feed your filament you have other issues. As stated in the other review it did need a slight bit of alignment. The only downside is that it is slightly difficult to feed the filament through it initially, once it's through the gears it feeds fine.

Tendency to fail at start of print
Quite a bit of hassle to work with. Has a tendency to strip the filament before each print, had to manually extrude filament to be sure the print would not fail on the first layer. The Bowden attachment also failed less than a week into printing with this extruder.

Good for low speed
The tolerances on this are quite poor. There is a lot of slop in the bearing locations in the plastic. The plastic gears wouldn't mesh properly and skipped when feeding the filament. Needs better tolerances and metal main gear.

tried it but...
it was easy to line up and fit but it would strip filament and make so much noise and was rattleing too, the adjustment for pressure on the filament was useless, when i tried removeing the ptfe tube it would not budge, ended up sending it back with ptfe still in the end. this thing is just a waste of money

DO NOT PURCHASE
Highly DO NOT recommend. It's quick and easy to install. However the quality of everything is extremely poor. The packaging was better than the product. After 30 seconds of printing the Bowden tube adapter to the extruder popped out. I didn't even finish the skirt around my print. Summary: You get what you pay for, just put your money in an authentic Bondtech extruder.

These are nice, work much like the bondtect without the high price
They work so well, that unless a really bad clog happens, filament is going though or the filament will crush in the exit of the extruder...….. That helped me a whole lot with downtime issues from so, so supposed to be great filaments.
