The perfect gift
I don't know about you, but for my best friend and I, the intent behind Christmas is to surprise the other person with the largest, most hilarious and most importantly inconvenient gift imaginable. It's a contest, and if you want to win, you have to be the first to bring six foot tall Severus Snappy cardboard cut-outs into play. The quality of this product is a perfectly good four stars, it stands well, the colours are good and well-defined, especially for something involving so much black, and Snipples' disapproving face could almost pass for true life. Rest assured, the quality is wonderful, but the reason I gave this review five stars is because there is literally no sweeter, riper moment in life than watching your best friend unwrap and unfold a life-sized cardboard cut-out of her least favourite Hogfarts professor. Then of course there's the entire night's worth of cracking jokes at a grim-looking Snaparoony, and that slightly frightening moment when you swear you see his lip twitch. In short, this really is the perfect gift, and will provide a) many, many hours of amusement and b) an entire lifetime of 'where the hell am I meant to put this', which I think embodies the true spirit of Christmas, don't you?

Perfect for any Harry Potter Party
It is also good for startling your family and friends. It even disturbed our cats :) so I had to take it down. We will be using it for our Harry Potter Halloween.

Used product
I ordered this and was delivered a used/previously returned cutout. The cardboard was warped and crinkled. You could clearly tell it was used since the cut out was detached from the cardboard boarder and the back standing piece was so used and bent up that it would not stay up right. Such a rip off.

Nice Cardboard Standee
Easy to assemble, looks just like a photograph and is accurate in height and proportions. The only qualm I have is the same as with all standees - they stand at a slight angle instead of straight up and down.Eventually the cardboard backing that holds them up will buckle and need some ghetto-rigging.Overall, a great product and a wonderful prop for a potions lab or a Harry Potter themed party!

Fine but..
There was an indented part which was annoying. Found it cheaper at another store. I requested a price match from the seller, didn’t hear back at all. Do your shopping!!

Very Impressive, and a Little Unnerving, Too!
I didn't order this for some kid - I ordered this for ME (and I'm 30-mumble). The Professor arrived this evening via FedEx within a week of my ordering, so really happy with that, as well as with the careful packaging. Be aware that the standup comes folded into thirds with a white cardboard perforated frame, so you can essentially "punch" him out from it, but I'd suggest having an X-acto or Swiss Army knife handy and carefully lay the standup out on the floor and follow the seams with the knife to free him.Once set up.... wow. He's quite imposing! Especially since I'm only 5'2" and he is just very tall! Free-standing, with his shadow cast on the wall, he is also surprisingly lifelike to the point where he looks like he might move or come to life at any moment (if ONLY!). It's amazing how much presence he adds. Seriously, with him around now, I'm feeling sort of self-conscious and judged. ;)Now like I said, I received this in the evening, so I haven't seen the standup by daylight. However, I can make out the definition in the layers of his clothing. Even though it is black-on-black, it's not solid black "ink blob" quality - at least the one I got isn't. In dim evening lighting even layers of real black clothing on a real 3D person would seem to blend into solid black. So it is with this to some extent, but the detail and definition ARE there. As for the fold seams, it's impossible to make those vanish completely, but for the most part they blend away quite well.I think Professor Snape's standup will be a good motivator. The natural procrastinator in me thinks that post-it notes stuck to his shoulder from time to time, saying something along the lines of, "Miss Brown, you will resume your project of scanning those 50,000 family photos today or it's STRAIGHT to the dungeon with you" might be effective.I'm stingy with 5 star reviews. My only wish (aside from him being real!) is that he was printed in a bit more matte style. He's not exactly glossy, but I still wish the printing were a little more flat to take away the light reflections, which ruins the illusion a bit. But maybe that will soften up in time (this appears to be freshly-printed). I recommend keeping him in a room that is ambient-lit. And don't underestimate the space he requires. His height aside, he also takes up quite a bit of horizontal space, with his elbows and cape out like that. With the easel on the back for free-standing, he needs about 12" from the wall.If you love Severus Snape, I think that you will love having this. Even if he is only 2-dimensional. *sniff*
