ZilactinCold Sore Gel, Medicated Gel - 0.25 OzGel (Pack of 2)

First of all my cold sores usually come once a year or when I'm incredibly stressed out and when they come they are horrific. I would use the Walmart brand stuff and abreva. But none of that would take away the pain, promote healing or the blistering or the leaking from a cold sore. As soon as I found this the gel I was skeptical but it literally stopped all the pain, gave a cooling sensation on the cold sore, a film of protection and within two days it's down to nothing. But I will say this is not using this product alone. I also use lysine 3 times a day, I take a multivitamin but I double up on the dose, I also take a calcium magnesium zinc vitamin, and I take a probiotic. This is the fastest I've ever had a cold sore start to heal. I got my cold sore on Monday. It is now Wednesday and it's pretty much healed. Follow that method and it should work for you too. I am stoked because I won't have to go to work with this unsightly thing on my lip and I don't have to deal with the pain.

I've dealt with horrible cold sores for years and have tried EVERYTHING on the market. Have had minor help from a few things but mostly been severely disappointed in the majority of them, Abreva being one of the most useless and expensive items. Happened to see Zilactin on a shelf a year or so ago and figured I'd give it a shot, what's to lose right? I put it on at fist itch/tingle and the cold sore never even came up, imagine my joy! Using it after a blister has already come up and it definitely keeps it from spreading or getting bigger and clears it up faster than anything else I've ever used. It does sting like hell when you 1st put it on, especially if the blister is in the healing stage but once you get past that it numbs and creates a protective shell over the blister that keeps it from hurting if you accidentally bump it and from just getting wiped away when you drink something. The only thing is that it isn't commonly available at the store so I'm very happy Amazon carries it, just make sure you plan ahead, I keep 2, one in my bag and one at home at all times. Unless they come up with a cure I won't need any other product than this from now on.

This product is difficult to find in more retail pharmacies when you need it most. Knowing that, we now buy it from Amazon so we always have it on hand.

I've tried many items for cold sores, and they often make little to no difference. This helps a TON! I'm so happy I found it. It does sting at first, but goes away after 20 seconds, and really does help numb and take the pain away. Some people said they would wear it out, but with the way it dries down, I can't wear it out of the house, just at home. If you are thinking about it, GET IT! You won't regret it.
