Pretty good. Make sure you charge it before evaluating the sound.
It's a good small speaker for a good price (under $10). I've been looking for something that is truly compact, and this is it. It's about 3 inches across and maybe 1 inch deep at the thickest. It's contoured in the back, tapering down to less than 0.5 inches. It also weights considerably less than something you have to put AAA batteries in.When I plugged it in and immediately started playing music, it sounded bad. Then I let it charge for a while and it sounded better. The speaker has a full-size USB charger (the kind you plug into a computer). I want to plug it into a mini USB (the kind I plug into my Android phone), so I'm ordering an adapter on Amazon for less than $2.The USB cable is connected to the headphone cable, so you'll always have it when you're using the speaker, even if you're not charging. This is going to be annoying when you're not charging. Not a dealbreaker for me, but it mars the otherwise simple design. The other problem is the speaker cover. I have no idea how the manufacturer thought it could stay on. It's like they meant to put some glue on there and forgot. You're going to need some tape, glue, or a rubber band to keep it in place. I used a few pieces of packing tape to hold it on and it works fine. The sound is louder and less tinny than the speaker on my phone, but don't expect a lot of bass or power from this thing. It's also mono, and for that reason alone can sound muddy when you're listening to stereo music. Overall, I expect to get some use out of this thing, but it's no substitute for a boombox.

Nice little speaker
I got this because almost all Andriod Tablets have mid to low quality speakers. Headphone are nice but when I want to hunker down in bead and read a good e-book with tunes playing or watch an Hd movie there is only one or two positions that are comfortable with even earbuds. This has really good sound quality, it's a little bigger than I imagined, but the battery so far has lasted about 8 hours. One nice thing is the USB charging. When I first used it I decided to charge it off the USB ports of my tablet. I only lost about 45 minutes of normal battery use. Not too bad for the occasion you might bring it along and forget to charge it. I think an improvement in design would be a separate stereo jack so that when charged you could have the one cable plugged in without the USb end dangling. 4 stars easy.Pros- Good Sound and Volume - solid build quality, not something you would be afraid of breaking - nice bright indicator so you don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it on.Cons - limited audio range, even with a good EQ on a device it really just sound basically the same.EDIT:Saw a couple of reviews bout the internal speaker size being deceptive. If the speaker was not in the housing it is in the sound quality would be worse with no depth at all. Think of it as a speaker cabinet or try taking an MP3 player with a crap speaker and play it into your cupped hand and listen to the difference in the sound. probably still crap, but a little better.

Little Speaker, Decent Sound
I picked up these little things because I didn't want to replace batteries in powered speakers. it's a small little speaker (1 inch speaker) inside a 3 inch housing. Thin and light. The battery states it will play up to 6 hours, so far I regularly get 7-8 hours of playback and a medium volume level out of my iPod. They pack a decent punch, and don't distort at top volume hooked up to an iPod; carry well through noisy environments as well. (though they do no have low bass or high treble, it's all mid range out of these things.)Warning: cheaply constructed - my face plates all came off almost immediately. A little glue fixed that.

Fun and surprisingly loud
I love finding a good buy and a FUN product -- this is it. I have an MP3 without a speaker, so wanted something simple to play it without headphones sometimes. It's a little gitchy, and the instructions are not written by someone whose first language is English...but I'm figuring it out. It does need to be charged, I was able to try it briefly upon opening the box, but then it stopped. So plugged it into my computer overnight. So I can't speak yet for how long it will play without being plugged in. The cord to attach has both a USB and a headphone jack, so you can plug in either, or both (as I was listening to my MP3 but charging through my computer.) It doesn't come with a pouch or anything, and the screen cover just sits on it. It fits in the palm of your hand, very compact. It also has an on/off switch underneath. That is a nice touch so you can turn it off and not lose charge when not in use. It would make a cute stocking stuffer or a "bonus" gift for someone who appreciates FUN stuff. This would also be a nice set up if you were giving an elderly person an MP3 and this speaker, so they could move it around their house or outside with them.

Pretty good, particularly for the price.
I like to use my laptop computer in bed, but its internal speakers aren't particularly good. I got this mostly because the price was so low that I wouldn't have very much to lose. For the most part, I'm happy with this purchase. I'm not sure how "good" it is when compared to similar products, but it does what I wanted, and I can actually watch internet videos in bed with an acceptable audio quality and volume. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the 3.5mm jack cord and the USB cord are different lengths, which makes things a little disorganized at times. Still, these are relatively minor quibbles.
