I bought this to replace a glass French press that broke. It's sturdy, and has survived several dishwasher cycles. Coffee and Tea do stay hot longer in this unit than the glass one that broke. After 6 months the black paint is starting to chip off near the rim, but that doesn't bother me. The filter assembly seems as sturdy as the Bodum one it replaced, and is close enough to the same size that I can re-use the Bodum screens.

My last french press broke because it was glass, so I decided to try a stainless steel one. I like this a lot, my only complaint is it's not as smooth when you press down/up. The scratching noise it makes inside is a little cringey sometimes. Otherwise, it's great.

I bought this as a gift for a friend that travels for work. It was the perfect gift for him. It's easy to pack in his luggage ( checked bags ) and there's no fear of breakage due to rough baggage handling. He can enjoy a perfect cup of coffee while at work or anytime he wants. I would recommend purchasing this French press for anyone wanting a great great cup of coffee or just looking for a perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life!

After having the glass break twice in less than four months, I decided to look into getting a tougher French press. This one caught my eye because I liked its look. After a few uses, I can say it does an excellent job of keeping the coffee warm, it perfectly strains out the coffee grounds (and it comes with two extra filter screens) and it seems like it'll hold up for a long time. I have to say, I am happy with my purchase and highly recommend this product.

After using and breaking 3 different glass coffee presses we decided not to waste more money on those types.... bought this one and was so completely thrilled to find that it washes easily, is VERY sturdy and so easy to use. I have a feeling we wont be needing to buy another for a very long time. Definitely recommend.
