My dad ask for a cell phone mount for Christmas for his Spyder and sent links for this. Being the kid I am I launched my own investigation into a more cost effective product to get the mount on the Spyder.That being said all my research lead me back to this bolt and ball if you want to steering wheel mount your phone holder. There are cheaper knock offs made of different Steel or aluminum that will rust and fail and there are cheaper bolts for other bikes that will not fit into the recessed hole on the Spyder.Do yourself a favor and just go with this one. Cry once or cry everytime you use it is my opinion.

I wanted a GPS mounted on my handle bars but didn't want to damage anything. I saw this bolt with ball mount on youtube and knew it was what I needed. The Spyder has 4 bolts on the stem of the handlebars. The bolts have yellow locktite on them so they are VERY difficult to remove. It took me a while using a 7mm hex socket. I installed the first, bought a Garmin Zumo, and it looks good. I bought a second for my cell phone or maybe a cup. I couldn't get the other top bolt out. I didn't want to strip it so I am going to take it to the shop to remove it for me. These ball mount bolts make the RAM mount a fantastic way to have my devices right in front of me.

This is the best way to install a ram mount item on to you Spyder, no falling off and losing your equipment from a suction cup on the windshield. All you need is a 7MM wrench and you are set.

Used it to mount gps to can am spyder. Realized I could of got item cheaper from Amazon.ca as I live in canada
