Weak clicks, bottom threaded holes out of alignment with side indicator marks.
It works OK, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Not as good as Nodal Ninja rotators I have used in the past, however they start at twice the price. The good news:-Compact-Switching between no stops, 90°,45°, 30°, and 15° is very easy and feels secure-The Arca mount is solid-The levered "stop rotation" screw is ratcheting, meaning you can pull it out and adjust where the lever is so it doesn't conflict with something else in your setup.-Markings are easy to readThe bad news:-Stock grease is too thick to feel detents on rotation-Bottom thread mounts are not aligned with side markings (mine appear to be at 43°)-If your camera's weight is not centered over the rotator, which for nodal shooting it rarely is, the detents feel even weaker, and the rotator is not very smooth.-Detents have too much wiggle for my taste-Detents are too weak to consistently stop the camera's rotation-I wish it had a 60° stop instead of the 15° one.In an effort to try and improve the performance of the detents, I opened mine up using a quarter clamped in vice grips to twist the central silver screw on the top. I replaced the stock grease with some thinner chain oil, and the detents are more noticeable, but I still consistently overshoot them. This makes my work take longer, because I have to go back and adjust each position. I tried adjusting the internal detent-ball set-screw to make the clicks stronger, however even with thread locking glue it eventually loosens itself. For reference my camera setup is pretty light, I just have a Panasonic GH2 with the 7-14mm lens set back roughly 9cm from center. I imagine a heavier camera/lens that had the weight even further from center would be even worse.
