Film Posters of the 90s: The Essential Movies of the Decade Paperback – July 1, 2005

As a collection of cool posters it is spectacular but it was, to me, lacking in the way of commentary. Mainly because there wasnt any. Definitely not a must for understanding complex symbolism or artistic style but as a base collecion of pictures its pretty swell.

This is a great book at a great price. I wanted smaller sized replicas of movie posters to use in matted frames for decoration in a movie buff's bedroom. This book fit the bill - it is filled with tons of scanned copies of posters from the 90's. The shipping was super fast and the product arrived in perfect condition.

For 10 years, I have sought another chance to glimpse a European poster I had seen for Casino on a trip to the continent when the picture was current. This book offers me that.For that alone, it gets 4 stars. It's not the book's fault that the 90s offered a bunch of rehashes of the posters for Eraser and The Peacemaker. And scores of big faces with guns. Plus, the ascendance of computer design. Zzzzz.Still, that Casino poster is a haunting and lovely image. One of cinema's finest.

今回も美しいデザインのポスターを集めてくれました。写真とロゴを上手くレイアウトしたアメリカ版ポスターはもちろんアーティスティックなイラストのポーランド版ポスターまで美しいイメージで楽しめます。また、大好きなソール・バス・デザインの「シンドラーのリスト」の未使用版ポスターが載っていたのには感激しました。（使用されなかったのが惜しいデザインだと思うのですが。）ぜひソール・バスだけを纏めたポスター集の出版を期待しています。

I like to make small poster's from the other book in the series, but was disapointed with the selection of films and quality of the print in the 90's edition. The 60's and 70's are the best in the series.

This is a collection of '90s poster images with very little or no additional information at all. Its a good catalogue of what the 90's poster had to offer which is not comparable to pre 1960s regarding the art (for me computer graphics killed poster's true artistic nature) , but this is not the book's fault.

Excellent reminds of classic films just a shame reproductions on poor paper lets it down. Just like the rest in the series.
