The TUSA SF0104 Hyflex Switch is powered by PuRiMaX “Polyurethane Blade System”. The Polyurethane blade provides a quick “snappy” response to the diver’s every movement. TUSA’s unique “Vortex Generator” effectively reduces water resistance through the fin stroke normally found on traditional smooth blades. TUSA’s Multi-compound foot pocket increases power transfer to the fin blade. The TUSA Hyflex Switch is equipped with the new Universal Bungee Strap providing extraordinary comfort.

Much better fins in comfort and performance than my old ones
I have some older Tusa fins but when I use them I get fast fatigue in my legs and aches in my knee joints. My son bought these TUSA SF-0104s and I tried his on a trip earlier this year. I was amazed at how much better they felt and performed so I bought my own pair. We just returned from a trip with friends - I was able to snorkel for hours with no fatigue or joint pain and swam a considerable distance; in contrast, my husband and our friends all complained about fatigue and did not swim as long or far as I did. And my husband is a long-time very conditioned runner whereas I am not in as good a shape so I was quite happy that I was able to keep up with him and even out swim him with these fins. I encouraged my husband to try mine and, like me, he was amazed at how much better his legs felt with these TUSA SF-01014s. My husband and friends were also amazed that I was able to pack these fins in my carry-on bag because these fins have that feature that allows unscrewing the fins from the booties. My husband is very budget conscious so I don't know if he'll decide to buy his own since we don't go on a lot of snorkel/dive trips so he may just decide to continue to deal with our older lower performing or rental fins. Me - I am 100% glad I invested in these; money very well spent to preserve my already arthritic knee joints as I get older AND not have to check my bag because these fins fit in my carry-on bag!

Love the Fins but..
Love the fins, loved using them during my certification dives. I was looking forward to using them for my vacation but misplaced the screws and allen wrench package before the trip. Would be 5 stars if the screws weren't so specialized, hard to find a match at a hardware store.

TUSA Hyflex Switch: Expensive but you get what you pay for - an excellent diving fin
In the water these fins are fantastic - best for a scissor kick but do pretty good frog kicking as well. They are easy to get on and off, in or out of the water, so big plus for walk-in dive sites or getting up a ladder on a boat dive. Foot pocket is huge but the reviews I read said to expect that so I added a pair of 5 - 7mm dive boots: perfect fit! I am a size 11 and the heel straps, at the shortest setting, hold my boots firmly. I would not recommend these for anyone with less than a size 11 foot or you may have trouble getting the heel strap tight enough - plenty of room to go bigger, though. Haven't had to take them apart yet as my fin bag and larger equipment bag can both handle the length easily. Took them to Panama City for my AOW certification and the only detractor was that, with a full wetsuit (jellyfish hazard that weekend), my feet tended to float more the closer I got to the surface. I will see how they perform without a wetsuit when I head south again or i will just add ankle weights if needed. No cramping or foot fatigue even against a pretty strong current in some spots.

Fins fell off my bootie twice
I love that you can take them apart for ease of travel in suitcase.Negative, they came off my boot heel twice during the dive trip and caused severe blistersGuess I’ll be replacing the straps with metal ones

Good fins, wide footbed
Very wide foot-bed, even with (thin) booties on.I wore these on about 15 dives in tropical conditions, wearing the Mares Equator 2mm dive booties. I am a female with size 8, normal width feet, and bought size small.I love how packable the removable fin makes them. They are very flexible, but not so much that I found myself working excessively hard to make distance. However, the somewhat wide fit did seem to result in getting some sore leg muscles I didn't even know I had! (Presumably to stabilize my kick/ankles) Not bad to walk in for a few steps in and out of the water. The best part was probably the ease with which I could get them on and off, though. I set the size as soon as I got them (easy and fast) and from there on out, they worked flawlessly. Snug enough when on, easily stretched to release.

Disassembling these allows me to save on baggage fees.
I bought these primarily to be able to put these in my carry-on bag and save baggage fees. Regular fins do not fit in my carry-on bag and force me to pay an additional $50-$60 ($25-$30 each way) to bring these in my checked baggage.Since the foot-pocket separates from the blade for travel, I can fit these in a regular carry-on bag. I was reluctant to buy them based on the $200 price, but after 4 trips, they have paid for themselves. In the water, they perform exceptionally well.I recommend calling TUSA and asking them to send you an extra set of nuts/bolts. Losing or forgetting them was my biggest worry, but TUSA was good and sent me a spare set.

Versatile, efficient fins with some unique design features.
So far my TUSA SF0104 Hyflex Switch Fins deserve a 5 start rating. I have owned more than a half a dozen different fins previously and these are clearly the best I have owned considering construction, performance, and comfort. The most recent fins were the TUSA X-Pert Zoom Z3 Open Heel Split Fins. I went to the Split fins because my knees are arthritic and under most conditions TUSA’s split fins are efficient and relatively easy on my knees. However, they are not as versatile as standard fins. When I read that other users were finding that the TUSA SF0104 Hyflex Switch Fins to be highly efficient, I decided to give them a try. I like some of the specific design features. The adjustable bungee system performs well. The foot pocket is comfortable. The foot pockets may be removed from the fins to shorten them to fit luggage.

Love My Fins!!!
Love my new TUSA HyFlex SWITCH fins!! Just got back from a trip to Roatan, Honduras where we did 19 dives. Lightweight and easy to put on. Definitely felt they helped me glide through the water. Also, really liked the adjustable straps; is a nice feature to get the correct tension/fit level for you foot.Note: I wear a size 10 men's shoe and found that the medium fins fit me best with my 7mm boots. My first purchase was the large and they were WAY to big for my foot size so had to do an exchange for the smaller size.
