Vision is great, frame looks cheap
As far as the actual vision, I love them! they are exactly as said, you can read and work on the computer without having to take off your glasses or try to peer over the top at the screen. BUT!! The frames are so big! They are "hipster" frames. I was hoping for something a little more...elegant. I am going to keep them for home use but I will most likely end up buying another pair with a wire frame for use at work.

Love these!
I originally bought a pair of these when my ophthalmologist suggested I may need progressive lens but that I don't actually need glasses for every day use. Up until then I was wear readers, but it was starting to get annoying because I kept having to take them on and off. I gave these a shot and I loved them! I ordered the 1.5x magnification for the first pair. I love them. They fit so comfortably and they look great. Haven't had any problems with them bending or breaking. They are VERY sturdy.Over the next year my vision deteriorated a bit more, so I also ordered the 2.0x, but they were too strong at the time. A recent trip to the optometrist and I got a pair of prescription glasses. I prefer the 2.0x version of these better than my rx glasses, so I wear those now (I just ordered a second pair as a spare). Again, I love these. They are perfect. In total I have 3, one pair at 1.5x and two at 2.0x.Obviously everyone has a different size head and eyes are at a different distance apart so just because they are great for me, doesn't mean they will be great for everyone. As for the reviews of people breaking the frame, I really don't know how that can happen. Mine are super sturdy, more so than the prescription ones that I got from my optometrist. They also stay on my face, so I can't see how they would break unless I banged my face on something!!

Frame Broke After Wearing These Fewer Than a Dozen Times
These broke several weeks after I purchased them. I put them on to read the directions on a label and one of the lenses fell out and landed at my feet. Removed the glasses to find that the frame had snapped clean along the bottom edge of the left side. I have a lot of different types of glasses and have worn them for years. This is actually the first pair I have ever had break on me. The Foster Grants were actually purchased as my "emergency backup glasses"; they were very seldom used, always kept in the gray storage sleeve, and they have never been dropped. Not sure what is going on with Foster Grant's quality control, the frames seem to be constructed of a thick plastic - they aren't exactly lightweight - so it is very surprising that they broke.

Broken frames x 2
The frames apparently have a defective weakness. Have been wearing foster grant progressives for about 5 years, the same pair, metal framed ones, but thought I’d try these prettier ones. These were slightly less expensive than in the store but the first pair broke within 12 hours while I was wearing them. The frame broke with a loud pop on the inner bottom corner of the lens. They were pretty and comfortable, so I exchanged them (very easy process...thank you amazon). Had the second pair about 10 days and they broke, while I was wearing them, at the top inside corner of the lense near the nose bridge. I’m going back to the metal frames....

Great while they lasted; more fragile than they appear
I wouldn't have expected to be posting a sub-par review for these, as I loved them until two different pairs spontaneously broke. The first pair lasted a decent length of time, about ten months. But the second lasted six weeks. The frame of each just suddenly cracked open around the eyepiece, releasing the lens, as the glasses sat on my face untouched. It would seem something had impacted them at another time, however neither pair was ever subjected to anything besides sitting on my face, or sitting on my desk or nightstand undisturbed. I never put them on top of my head, or hooked them onto my shirt, or carried them off my face.I just don't get it. I have one pair left, that my mom tried and didn't like, but I'm back in the market for a different brand before these crack up too. I don't trust going anywhere for periods of many hours without carrying a pair of backup glasses, and that's a deal breaker.FYI, they all felt comfortable (I'm a fan of this 'uni-nosepiece' type), but the third pair I'm wearing now sit a tad lower and give me a deep line across the top of my nose, whereas the others didn't. Back when first discovering these, I started with my normal 2.0, but that didn't seem strong enough in these, or maybe I just needed a larger field of the higher strengths. So 2.5 was perfect, and the lower-strength tops were as well, since I need a little distance correction too. The style grew on me and I had been very happy with these all-around.UPDATES: This lower-resting third pair I have left did start to bother me a little across the bridge. That's particularly unfortunate, because while I did find another brand of multi-focals that work great and are comfortable and sturdy, I now realize that this Foster Grant style covers my crow's feet much better! ;-)

Great glasses, poor frames
Let me start by saying that I really liked the way these glasses work. They are great for reading, working on the computer, and talking to someone standing at my desk. What I am NOT happy about is the fact that the frame cracked after four months. This is the second pair of these that have cracked in the exact same spot (under the lens), and I take good care of them. I wear them for most of my work day, then store them in the case when I leave the office. These are not cheap reading glasses, they cost $35...so, I would expect more from them. I have bought $6 readers that have lasted longer, I am extremely disappointed. Since I had them for four months, I don't think I can return them.

Simply great progressive readers, sewing, and computer use
I ordered these in the 2.5 magnification and am absolutely blown away at how well they make it possible for me to transition between a multitude of household and professional tasks. I can see tiny print on medicine bottles and food labels again and everything on my computer screen too. Highly recommend.

Probably testers or samples
The exterior of the lenses are imprinted with a circle and the strength of the glasses in your line of vision which makes you think there's lint or a scratch on them. I bought them online before and one lens had it but I noticed after it was too late to return them. This pair has 4 imprints!! Very disappointed.

Not too sure about these. I really liked them but they seem to have gotten a milky appearance to them. They're great for looking across the table as described and saves you grabbing another pair or going without. I will keep using and may or may not buy another pair depending on vision.
