Plain wire works better
I was skeptical about this antenna but decided to give it a try. I have a reciever from 1979 that I hooked up rabbit ears to. I was hoping for better reception with this but the rabbit ears work a lot better. I am an ex electronics tech and tried raising this up and putting it at a window but nothing would get this to pickup as well as rabbit ears. I am returning it.

A little better than a cheap dipole
Pulls a little better, looks a lot better. As I opened the box I realized I should have hit the flea markets for old fashioned rabbit ears. I once had a Magnum Dynalab FM tuner, this is nowhere near that kind of quality. I had to stick automotive wheel weights under the base for weight, suction cups useless. Go to their website for instructions, none included. As others have noted, lead is too short. 3 stars because it looks Jetsons.

Thie Magnum Dynalab SR100 Indoor FM Antennna is an excellent choice for FM listeners who can not use an outdoor FM antenna. When I moved from my house (with an antenna mounted in the attic) to a condo, I began searching for a good antenna that could be used in a condominium. This is by far the best solution I have found, providing a much stronger and cleaner signal than any amplified antenna. I live in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle, which means I am in urban environment but have Capitol Hill between my home and the location of the transmitters for the two stations I listen to (KPLU and KUOW). I now get a clean stereo signal with no noise on both stations with my McIntosh MR78 tuner. I think FM is a great source for news and music (in my mind, FM stands for fress music), and am very pleased with this excellent and affordable product.

good smaller alternative antenna
This is a smaller and less expensive alternative to the full-size Magnum Dynalab FM antenna. It seems to work nearly as well, while taking up less space and selling for a lower price. This would be good for a smaller stereo system or maybe a bedroom or other room in the house. It attaches to the tuner with an F connector.

Beats All the Others!
I live in a rural area and I need a good antenna to get the 2 public radio stations I enjoy so much. After a few years and several purchases of antennas, many amplified signals too, this is the first one I have not returned. It has really been a long list of current products that did not do the job. Be clear that I wanted an FM radio antenna and was not interested in the various tv alternatives. Many of those, at bigger $, made claims and advertised as "fm" but were useless. This unit set up in a couple of minutes. It was then plugged into a separate signal amplifier to boost the signal and then into a Monster power strip & conditioner and signal cleaner before it came to the tuner/radio. This combination has failed with other antennas. I am listening to Sunday classical right now and it is perfect dispite a stormy day with very high winds.I clearly like this unit. It is a bit unusal to look at but does the job and grows on the eyes pretty quick when it sounds so good. I am happy to have it as part of an otherwise pretty 'upscale' system.

can't extend the wire so its stuck 2 feet from the receiver
I would love this guy if I could place him properly in my system. unfortunately the wire is integrated in and cant be extended.

Fragile and fussy
Flimsy construction, very fragile and thin antenna elements - similar to metal window blinds. Reception ranged from fine to poor with much re positioning and raising/lowering elements. Others might have better luck than I did.
