Big bang from a little package....you should check it out.
This little gizmo is super handy and works like a charm. I've been using one for a few months without any issue, and picked up a second one for my back-up kit. Reasonably priced, easy to install, and the adjustability is very versatile. There a several other options that might be fancier, and definitely cost more, but this magical device does the trick. And it's super helpful to prevent singers, stage guests, and out-of-control dancers from knocking your kick mic out of place.Add one to you kit and keep the low end thump where it should be! \m/

These mounts are great!!!
This device works great! Even though this was designed to be used in a bass drum. I am using them in my snare 6.5" x 14, bass drum, toms, and floor toms.I had to drill two holes for the mount in my snare. No additional holes were required for my other drums. However, the screws included were too short. I purchased longer screws at Menards. My Ludwig kit took #6 -32 1/2"A word of caution. There is a clear plastic washer within the "hinge." DO NOT LOSE IT!This washer allows you to lock the device down. If you don't take the hinge apart, you have nothing to worry about.

Almost Perfect
This microphone mount is exactly what I was looking for in terms of simplicity and low-profile. But maybe a little too simple. The only gripe I have that shouldn't persuade you from buying is, the mounting bracket needs to be wider to accommodate wider lug holes. As you can see in my photos, the standard Slingerland style Beavertail lugs were too wide for this bracket to fit. I had to use the spur mount and even then, I had to cut out the slot in the rubber gasket to accommodate the width. The bracket was just barely wide enough to be secured via the screws for the spur mount. And even then the slots in the bracket had to be filed slightly wider to allow the bolts through. Minor detail for me because I'm always building something anyway and I have the tools. But if you aren't handy and without the right tools, this may be an issue for you. I can see this mount being used for smaller drums and maybe they should offer a 2nd bracket that would accommodate larger drums and/or wider bolt patterns. All that said, I haven't gigged yet with this setup but have over 60 shows this summer which should put this bracket to the test.

Doesn't work with all drums
The mic mount works fine in certain drums. I have a Mapex Saturn Pro which has a limited amount of "contact" points with the hardware. So there are no 2 screws close enough to mount this on. The other problem is the actual screw size for Mapex. They use a slightly more robust screw which would not work in the space that Gibraltar provides. I was able to widen the slot enough to get the screw through but it was definitely not easy. I also only have this holding on by one screw, as I mentioned before, the drum doesn't have 2 close enough screws to work with what is provided. Now I also have a Ddrum Dios set that I use in my studio with a Kelly Shu. This drum actually does have 2 screws close enough together to work with this system, but again the screws are slightly larger than the slots (holes) provide. Since I wanted a more stationary solution for my touring Mapex kit I chose not to use the Kelly Shu system and instead use this on that kit but it's just something to be aware of. I'm sure this would work just fine with 75% of the kits out there.

Really slick
This little guy solves the dilemma if you want to mount a mic in a drum with out spending a million dollars on a may system. Mine is mounting a AKG D112 inside a bass drum with no hole in the head, the cable goes through the vent hole with a little soldering on the connector to get the cable fed. Worked so well that I want to get two more and mount the floor Tom mics the same way and clean up my setup.

Need to check your parts numbers.
I did not get an inter.drum mic stand. I got a stick caddy for the 3rd time.

Beware
I have been using Gibraltar for over 25 years including a huge rack ,mini boom stands , e.t.c. , and i love there products , i never broke one thing and its been on the road for a long time , but this time gibraltar missed it big time , it captures all the vibration of the shell , it awful , its useless in its original form , i ended up using LP claws (mic holder for drum rims ) secured to these to make it work , you are off much better with the mic resting on whatever it is that you use to muff the bass drum , do not buy this , gibraltar should discountinue this item pronto .

Very Nice
Great bit of kit, works very well, it will fit the smallest of drums - I have these installed in a couple of 6" Ocotbans type of drums. Recommended.

Not good for DW
Used on my DW kick drum and the DW fixing points on the lugs are too thick and too short to fit correctly. I've modified the fitting slot to fit and without using the rubber mount I can just about fit it to the kick spur. If you have nice long screws in your existing hardware this may work for you, but I'll be looking to use a Kelly Shu ASAP.
