How does the privacy flap stay in place and not roll up?

The flap does stay in place because it’s just a flat piece of vinyl. Even though someone can always lift the flap easily to read your info, the flap remains stationary at all times by itself. We used several on a recent trip with a lot of handling by others and I never saw a flap come up. It doesn’t roll at all.
