As an update to this review. I increased the number of stars because of the customer service that I received and their desire to make the customer happy. A very nice company to work with!Assembly was awkward and the instructions weren't clear regarding the lights. The picture shown in the instructions indicated there were 2 components for each light (a total of 4 pieces) when in fact they were assembled and therefore only 2 pieces. They don't look like regular lights so this left me scrambling looking for the rest of the items as pictured. It wasn't until I decided to plug them in and turn them on just to see if the bulbs were actually attached that I realized they were one component. The backgrounds are a heavy, thick plastic that leaves a glare across the back and no amount of moving the lights, dimming them etc. removed that glare strip where it makes the bend from back to bottom. Also, and this is why I am giving it 3 stars overall, the velcro strip that is "glued" or "sticky" taped across the back is not strong enough to hold the backdrop so they next morning I went to my box and found it all rolled and crimped with the "tape" stuck to the backdrop. It is VERY sticky but not sufficient obviously to adhere to the inside of the metallic fabric that encases the frame. Peeling it away left sticky residue on the backdrop as well as creases from it falling and getting rumpled up in the tape. I will not be able to use the black backdrop now because of that. VERY disappointing for the price. The way that the fabric cover is made there is no reason why that velcro strip could not have been sewn in place to prevent this from happening. As far as the picture quality it was fair to okay. The pictures seemed to have a cloudy look to the glassware. The entire reason I bought this unit was to have clean, clear pictures of my glassware. It is better in that I can at least eliminate the glare and reflection in the glass by having it in the booth but not at all what I had hoped to accomplish for clarity. I am going to try a fabric backdrop to see if that helps. Overall it is just OK. You will need to figure out how to make your backdrop stay in place. This is now my dilemma and I am not happy about having to devote time to getting that resolved when that time could be spent photographing my product!

After only 6 photos, one of the lights stopped working. We took off the end cap and discovered that the housing is so sharp it had cut into one of the wire casings causing a short. A bit of electrical tape fixed the problem. Otherwise it worked pretty well. A bit tricky to assemble and the instructions are vague, but we produced some nice product photos with it.

This equipment is by far one of my favorite investments for my small business. It's important to me to have high quality photos to present my hand-made crocheted and knit beanies that I sell in my hat shop. Before I purchased this light box, I used to go through a major hassle to get outside on bright days and try to find a location to take photos in my yard, or at a favorite park at the lake when I would go. While the photos would come out bright usually to show the products, I didn't like having parts of my home included in the photos, or background scenery distracting from the look of the product.Once I acquired this photo box, my entire photo taking routine for my products changed. I set this up in my home studio, and whenever I need to take a photo, I just turn the light on, position my product, and within just a minute I can have great photos taken of a new beanie that I'm putting up for sale. I don't even have to leave my home studio to get photos. I can take my photos, edit them as needed, and in just a few minutes have a new product up for sale with great looking photos.I like this photo tent so much, that I am planning on buying another one to have as a back-up unit if I ever need it. I don't travel with my current light box that I have now, so it's never taken apart. Because of that, hopefully I'll never need another unit. You never know though, because it does have electronic parts. The LED light fixtures could fail at some point and that's the main reason I want a back-up unit. I've read that the LED lights won't need replacement, but that doesn't mean nothing can go wrong with the wiring or connectors.This 35 inch light box is perfect for my needs, and I'm glad I chose this size. There is also a 32 inch, and a 39 inch model available. If I had more space in my studio, I would have opted for the 39 inch model, but I had to go with what would fit in my space.In regards to placing the white background panel into the tent. It's a little tricky, and the panel does not hold into the liner very well when assembling. I used clear packing tape to hold it in place since I'm not going to be taking the box apart, and that seems to be doing the trick to hold it in place. I am really glad I bought this.
