Kindle PowerFast Charger for Accelerated Charging for the EU (for Kindle Fire tablets and Kindle e-readers)

When I purchased the Kindle Fire HDX 7 tablet, I suddenly saw this PowerFast charger added to my order. My first thought was 'what's this? I already have a EU plug for USB charging.' When reading more about this charger and its reviews, it seemed to really charge the Kindle within a few hours. I decided to order it.Very glad I did. Charging time is incredibly short, compared to a regular USB wall plug. For carrying my Kindle tablet around, I will take my Anker Astro 5600 power battery along instead of this rather bulky power plug. But for longer trips, and most certainly while at home, this charging plug is a must.

Price just right, works as good as they say! I love the fast charge.

Yes! - It's necessary to have such, but strangely it is not included in the purchase. I've never been exposed to that you have to buy a charcher next to a product. Therefore only 4 stars.

I have it because it was part of the purchase of the Kindle but I find it very cumbersome in size.Dont have enough technical knowledge to compare it to anything else but I hope that if Amazone recommends it, it isa good piece of equipment.

It works well for fast charging of my kindle fire and I also use it to charge a kindle touch.

Pro: Charger is quite small and pretty -- I like its looks, especially its deep black color, rather more than that of iPad's charger.Contra: on hot days under heavy usage it sometims stops charging for some time (about 10-60s IIRC) then resumes. I suspect this is caused by overheating protection circuitry. I had never had any overheating problems with iPad's charger though, so this one is definitely in need of improvement.

Well, it does what it's supposed to do, fits nicely where it's supposed to fit and takes no more room than it's supposed to take. A winner, in my opinion.

I got it for free so I shouldn't complain about it, but I think it's a little bit too thick, therefore not so easy to carry around.
