Domeboro Astringent Solution, 100-Count

This product is a must in your medicine cabinet if you are prone to rashes or hives. Follow the instructions to make the right mix to apply to affected areas. Downside is sometimes it irritates surrounding healthy skin, especially is you leave on too long. But when nothing else works to soothe itchy and burning skin from a rash, this will usually do the job.

Powder in envelopes seems older; i.e., powder was clumped together in the envelopes. Questioning freshness of product.

This is an awesome product with many uses! It helps to calm rashes, insect bites and cuts. However, my favorite use for this product is for toe nail fungus. My doctor recommended this to me about a year ago. I began by soaking my toes 3x a week for 3 months, and continue soaking them 2x a week. My doctor said to use 3 packets in 2 cups of warm water for 30 minutes each time. I really had my doubts this would work, but since I had tried everything else, I gave it a try. I'm pleased beyond words that my toe nails have never looked better! Domeboro is effective with or without polish on my toe nails. Domeboro would be equally effective for finger nail fungus. I recommend being consistent with this product as this is the only way to get great results. It takes time to achieve beautiful, healthy toe nails, but Domeboro works! My doctor says to use Domeboro at least once a week to keep toe nail fungus GONE! This is not a problem because soaking my toes/feet in Domeboro is relaxing, and Amazon offers THE BEST price and delivery service on the Domeboro multi-pack possible!

This product was ordered on 2/18 to be delivered in 7-10 days. Instead of the 100 packet box ordered and paid for, I received a box of 12 packets. I immediately emailed the company but had to follow up with another email on 3/2. They apologized and said I could keep the incorrect order and they would ship the correct order which would go out immediately. Last week I contacted them again so I could get a tracking number since the item had still not arrived. They are not good at answering emails. I was then told that they had neglected to send the correct order as promised and would send it out immediately. Today is 3/22 and I still have not received the item. They said they would not charge shipping and include a $5 credit. I would have much preferred the product to arrive on time and correctly.

I developed psoriasis a few years ago and during its really bad cycle it itches insanely, and I scratch until my skin is damaged (I could be more graphic, but there's no need to upset the squeamish.) Domeboro is an astringent powder which is dissolved in two cups of water per packet, then applied on the afflicted areas with a compress. I use a thin washcloth, and move it from area to area on my legs and feet until the two cups of solution are used up.What this does is dry out the lesions and promote the non-psoriasis part of the healing (no cure for psoriasis unfortunately). I follow this with a light application of petroleum jelly, which seals in some moisture from the Domeboro compresses, and eases the itching and discomfort.I haven't used it for anything other than psoriasis, though other reviewers have.

I have some kind of skin condition on my feet that showed up several years ago. The heels (and only the heels) get very dry and the skin gets tough, cracks and blistery. I have been to podiatrists, dermatologists, regular medical doctors and naturopathic doctors trying to figure it out. At least my naturopathic Dr did a lot of tests but nothing was determined. My naturopathic doctor recommending soaking it in this and it seems to give great relief. It is hard to find in my town, so ordering a box of 100 made sense. It does give relief to irritated, blistery skin. I recommend it and the seller for a great transaction. Thank you

For contact dermatitis on my feet and ankles, this was a non-prescription savior. I had used this once previously for facial shingles. Thankfully I remembered how well it worked and tried it on the feet and ankles which were, at that point, scratched to the point of bleeding. I soaked feet with 2-3 packets 2-3 times daily in my bathroom sink (yes, at rounding 60 I can still climb on the counter to sit), patted dry and went about my business. At first in the water, the feet itched a bit. That subsided in a moment and I got hours of non-itching relief. The small boxes were expensive at the drugstores, so the 100-pack price was a great find. GET SOME!

I suffer from seasonal eczema, for about 10 years I wandered from product to product until a military Dr directed me to domesboro. When ever my feet start to flare up I immediately soak my feet in domesboro this speeds up healing process about 10 fold. I bought a hundred pack because this is something I live with and I know I will eventually use all of these even though it will take a few years. BTW they quit selling domesboro at all the big box stores. Thanks Amazon. I will be buying some stock soon just out of appreciation!
