A Difference To Hear
I had doubts, but it is a difference I can hear. I glad I bought it.

Taming Tile Floors
I got a surprise when I moved from the midwest where wall-to-wall carpet is the norm to Florida where ceramic tile floors are more common. Room acoustics are terrible here by comparison.Like a lot of people, I have a single room that serves as a dining room, living room and home theater. It's a large room with a slight ceiling vault, drywall walls and that ceramic tile floor. When people were there for a dinner party, the din was deafening. Dialog in movies was hard to make out because of all the echo. It drove me nuts and I had to do something.I decided to try ATS acoustic panels because they looked like they might be attractive enough that I could hang them in my living/dining room without too much of an industrial look. These panels seem to be marketed to small/home studios where acoustics is the sole priority, but I didn't want to turn my living room into something that looked like a work space. The ATS website has a calculator to estimate the number of panels needed to optimize the acoustics in your room depending on the size and what you want to use the room for. The calculator advised me to get 11 4' x 8' panels. (22 if I wanted to call my room a home theater!) Well, that wasn't going to happen. I did have room enough to hang 5 panels and keep a reasonable room decor. I just wanted to tame the room as much as I could, and hoped that 5 panels would be enough to make a difference. When the panels arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how attractive they were. They are 4' x 8' sheets of plywood with absorbing material and covered in microfiber fabric. Wine color in my case. The color went well with my color scheme, and looked suitable for home decor.Hanging them was a pain, frankly. You use ATS' paper template to install four hooks on the wall and then four matching hooks on the back of the panels. Then comes the damn near impossible task of trying to get all four hooks engaged while holding the panel in place. One note: I ordered one panel first, then the other four (I wanted to see one before I bought all 5). The last four came with improved hooks that mate more easily once installed. The template only works for vertical installation. If you need to install horizontally, you'll have to make your own template. As we were installing the third panel, I noticed my room was starting to sound less like an abandoned shopping mall food court and more like a living room. With all five panels in place and the help of a 5' x 7' rug, I have tamed the acoustics in my living/dining/theater room. There's a lot less echo, I don't need to have the volume as loud as before to make out dialog and everything just sounds crisper and clearer. That was what I was hoping for. What I got as a bonus is a lot more bass from my home theater set-up. I wasn't aware of any bass killing standing waves before I installed the panels, but I guess they were there.Better acoustics and attractive panels that are probably cheaper than framed art prints of similar size. 5 stars.

Practical and Decorative
I had a large section of empty wall behind my voiceover desk that I wanted to treat to avoid reflected sound coming from behind me and into my mic. But because it is also my office and a place where video meetings and on-camera work is done, I wanted it to double as a bit of a set dressing.I chose this panel based on its construction type, size, and color. It is between a floating shelf and a credenza type table, and the size is perfect. It also adds some color and matches other similar colored window coverings in the room. The construction is very good. The fabric is microsuede, or alcantara-type material and is of good quality. The corners and edges are not perfect, but close enough - even when viewed closely. The hardware for mounting to the wall is included and is extremely good - I had never used this type of hardware before and it is perfect for the job.I withhold one star from a perfect rating because the panel is generally intended for vertical mounting - so much so, that they don't seem to acknowledge that anyone would do otherwise. They provide a nice paper template, which doubles as the instruction sheet - but the orientation of the template is for vertical-only mounting. Because the hardware is very orientation-specific, I had to painstakingly re-create the template for myself in order to hang it horizontally. Luckily, I didn't screw it up, and got the job done - but it made it a bigger project than I would have liked.

Excellent quality, Excellent look, Great Value
We know sound, so it is understandable we had little confidence that the ATS panels meeting our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised. They are of the highest quality, and construction. We raised the panels off the wall to control reflections, and stapled a dense absorber material to the backside of each panel. We have been able to get a drum room that is balanced, and records exceptionally well. In addition, these swede panels are beautiful. Our initial order was 15 panels. They arrived well packed, and all the hardware is there. These are world class panels that look and sound great. Thank you Tom

Beauty and functionality wrapped in microfiber ;)
I love these panels. They work and look fantastic. Highly recommend.UPDATE 4/25/19- Panels still work and look fantastic HOWEVER the new Shell color is different that the previous Shell color. Due to my stupidity I had to replace two of three panels mounted behind my audio set up. The new Shell color has a reddish tint to it which honestly looks marvelous, much richer tones overall however does not match the older Shell color which was more of a light tan with very little if any reddish characteristic. If you're not OCD about precise color matching you might be able to not be concerned about the contrast difference, but if you're anything like me, you'll end up replacing all of your panels to match properly. Third panel is on the way, and I have three other panels which I'll have to change now as well. This was your plan all along wasn't it ATS?? :P

Excellent!
I have purchased probably 30 of these in the last several years. They’re very effective, and a great value for the price. Build quality is very nice, and they are available in a good assortment of fabrics and colors. They come with clip hardware for wall mounting. I’ve also made rolling gobos with them, and suspended them from my studio ceiling with fine chain. If you need sound control in your space, these are the best overall value, IMO.P.S. The company ships them fast, snd they’re individually wrapped as well!

Wonderful acoustic panels
We bought 2 of these panels in the red wine color. They look amazing (like artwork) and would be at home in any theater. They are a bit tricky to hang, but it's no problem in the end. They really work! I was a bit skeptical as to how they would work, but they really stopped the reflections of sound and greatly improved the sound in our home theater room. I highly recommend these and I would and may buy some more.Very happy with these.
