Not waterproof, Leaks like crazy
I had this for quite a few weekend trips now, was helpful to keep the sun off my hammock during the day. However, the first light rain this tarp had, it had come through the top across the seems, and directly through the tarp wall. I thought it was condensation, but I was wrong. I just had a thunderstorm come through and the tarp leaks terribly. My hammock is soaked, my gear, everything. It turned out to be completely useless. I dont reccomend buying this at all.

big, but short
It was very helpful being able to close in the ends of my hammock. But it was way up in the air since it was a little to short. Also, it was so small that my back would get wet from rubbing on the tarp every time I got in and out. But what was most troublesome was trying to fold it since it is such an odd shape. Otherwise seems to function well enough to keep me dry while camping in the swamp for 3 weekends.

Nice tarp with bare bones.
If you are looking for a hammock tarp with a 13 foot ridge line ... this is not it. This tarp has a 10' ridge line. The stated 13' measurement is from the bottom tip of one door to the other which is a little disingenuous to me. It is made of a substantial material that is probably too heavy for light weight hikers. The seams are doubled stitched and appear to be of good quality. This is a bare bones tarp. It comes with no tie-out lines, no stakes, and no Velcro closures on the doors (Hey, its only $40!). There are only 4 tie-out loops (one at each corner) and two more for each pair of doors. All tie-outs are fabric loops that appear adequate. If you want to tie out the center of the side panels you will have to use a tarp clip; again added weight for the through hikers. The two ridge line tie outs are also fabric with an eyelet. The tarp is made to suspend over your ridge line, not suspended from it.All in all, I like it. An enclosed tarp for only $40, I look at it as an opportunity to customize my features with minimal effort.

Held up in thunderstorm
I did not pay attention that it does not include guy lines or stakes. That one is on me. Used it this past weekend and had heavy thunderstorms come through which the tarp held up very well and had no leaks.

worked great
bought this as a spare / backup. I took it out this weekend for a test.. My hammock and I stayed dry on a very windy and rainy night. A little bulkier than a I anticipated , but it worked well. I think I silicone all the seams for safe measure . All in all, a good piece of gear to add to my collection

Awesome tarp.
Went camping for 3 days and it rained for 36 hours straight...not a drop got into my hammock. The door flaps made all the difference.
