Uniden AppCam25HD High Definition Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera (Black)

This camera works and its picture quality seems fine, but it won't do continuous surveillance recording - it only records events. Unfortunately, unlike (more expensive) D-Link WiFi cameras, it can't save the few seconds before it detects the events. This is a problem if you actually want to see the event rather than the aftermath.Setup was easy and worked quite well. The App is serviceable, though not abundantly clear and helpful. The biggest problem I had was that the microSD card slot isn't aligned well with the backplate, so my card missed the slot and went into the housing. I was able to rescue it by opening the unit, but that was not a fun thing to do with a brand new device. The housing seems quite sturdy, and I have no problem believing it will survive outside in weather.So for the price, it may meet some needs, but it is not a great solution overall.

I like the product and how it performs. I've had no issues thus far, and connections are stable. Quality of images are average, with viewing angle somewhat poor. It feels less than 70 degress. Images beyond 20 feet are blurry. Wish I could set sensitivity levels on motion sensor. A fly and a rustling leaf in the distance will set of motion, and send notices to my smart phone. Warehouse item was also damaged where camera connects to base. Had to improvise and use some rubber washers I had in my tool box to secure camera as a result. In comparison to my indoor foscam the signal on this is more reliable even though its outside.

This camera has good daytime capabilities. However, the nighttime vision is TERRRRRIBLE. You can't see anything clearly, near or distant. The only reason than I gave it a two star is because of the daylight vision. Otherwise I would have given it a one star rating. I suspect the night vision of the camera is so weak because of the limited use of the few IR LED's that's employed onboard. Don't bother buying this camera if you value nighttime viewing. I would not recommend this camera to friends.

Clear instructions, setup straightforward. Worked well for a couple months then began losing wifi connection. Eventually stopped connecting with wifi and Ethernet. Picture was great. High resolution. The IR lighting got to where it didn't automatically adjust so night pictures looked a bit washed out. Unfortunately had to remove and replace with the AppCam 23. I Have two other App Cam 23 cameras that have been working flawlessly for quite awhile just don't have HD resolution like the AppCam 25 does.

Having a hard time getting the SD card to work. Bought 2, the first one works fine but the second one SD card slot just doesn't want to work.

After one month it stopped recording. Motion sensor doesn't record. Hitting the record button in the app doesn't work. Pretty worthless without the ability to record video. Don't waste your money on this camera.

I just love it, from my house to the end of my drive it's 300 plus feet and I can view people and cars very good.

not what I expected....*Thought it was a 2 way mircophone that you can talk to from the app..speaking of the app, it needs some major work as well.*The wireless connection is not stable. When trying to connect to it remotely from the app, it's not always connected, or trying to connect....pretty much not stable (router is only 10 feet away where my mobile device shows full strength)*The night vision is bad regardless of what low light setting (5 settings) I use. The picture tells it all. As the box mentions, it good for 40' of night vision.....I dont think so, maybe 40 mm or I'll be nice and give it 40 cm.*The recording, once it detects motion it records for a minute then is delayed for the next scene. You can wait till the recording stops and when you start moving again, it doesn't record till minutes later.*If I wasn't tech savy, I wouldn't know there would be a firmware update (had to check online). The app itself should notify you if there was some firmware update for the device. I was hoping this update might change the experience...NOPE.*To change the settings, you always have to enter admin password which is annoying for testing*the video that gets recorded and saved on the SD card cannot be downloaded on the device from the app. You have to remove the SD card from the camera and plug it in the computer and transfer it that way. You can delete recordings from the app though.*not reliable
