Samsung 850 EVO 120GB SSD mSATA (MZ-M5E120BW)

I bought this for a ASRock Beebox N3150. Used just for remoting into work and light office usage. Didnt need alot of storage space just wanted a quick and reliable msata SSD and this delivers. I have a sata Evo 850 500GB in my main desktop and have recommended the Evo 850 to many friends and all have worked perfectly.In the N3150 this is a perfect pair. The Magician software is nice to have, mainly for updating firmware and using the RAPID mode to leverage some of the system RAM to help speed up reads/writes. I havent ever bothered with their clone software, i always clean install on a new SSD/HDD.Up and running Win 10 Pro and this works great, boot times are very fast. If you need an msata or sata drive the Evo 850 line is my go to. If however you have an m.2 slot id recommend going with the Evo 950 Pro's which are much faster but also more expensive.

Product works great in a Lenovo Laptop that supports Msata. Original Laptop had a 2.5 inch HDD with reads and write of 73 MB/S read and 64 MB/S write (testing with Crystal Disk Mark). After using the migration software provided by Samsung I was able to move all files and the OS to the Samsung SSD even with this SSD being smaller in capacity than the original 2.5 inch HDD. The system was running Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit with 12 GB of 1600MHz RAM. Using Samsung Magician I activated Rapid mode and received Read and Write Speeds recorded over 2,000 MB/S. Start up times and file transfer times are much better. I left the original 2.5 HDD and use for regular Windows Backups that remain internal in the laptop.

Replaced a cheaper brand mSATA SSD that only had 60GB space and was quickly running out. The Samsung cloning software worked well but I had 3 BSOD upon the first 3 attempts to boot up the computer. They resolved themselves, basically Win8.1 complaining about missing files that it was able to restore on its own with me only having to reboot the computer each time. It has been rock-solid since then and been on 24 hours a day without issue. Using this on a Asrock A88X-ITX motherboard.

Replaced my plextor m5m with this.Plextor is a great choice...Bit thought an update needed to be done...Reinstall went smooth..Still fast..still sweet still solid..No hiccups..Have a 1tb 850 evo as my storage...So this and that and then another evo for all Samsung laptop...Oh and ya it worksPrice is solid...

Pain in the neck to clone another SSD to this drive. Finally worked after some fixing on it using my Dell desktop.Others have mentioned the 4.6 magician software which the blogs say could be out but apparently some bugs in it. Samsung hasn't issued it yet, and the rogue sites that had it don't anymore. Blue screen of death is the rumor.Anyway I can't say I have more except the drive works pretty well with half a useable magician 4.5 operational.

I put one of these in a Lenovo X220 (plugs in where a cell modem would go) - and it's not as fast as a Samsung 850 EVO attached via SATA II - probably an issue with the interface. Ah, well...

Threw this sucker in my HP EliteBook with an MSATA adapter and a 3D printed cage. Works just fine. I'm not expecting record breaking speed or anything. My bar is pretty low to hurdle so just working and being faster than the original HDD is good enough for me.

Four stars only because it is discontinued evidently. Worked fine with Samsung online download for data Migration. Used in a Yoga 13 with 2 mSATA SSD slots.Followed directions and it worked!

Met expectations

El cambio en velocidad es abismal, el sistema operativo esta listo casi al instante al encender el ordenador.Recomiendo a todos los que podáis, dar el salto de HDD a SSD. Es mi primer SSD a si que no puedo opinar mucho, ni sobre su durabilidad, pero elegí este por que Samsung, es marca relacionada con la durabilidad y fiabilidad de las memorias. Creo que es tiene una muy buena relación calidad-precio.En mi HP-Pavilion 500-129es, funciona perfectamente. Reinstale Windows 10 sin ningun problema en el SSD, formateé el HDD que tenia y ahora lo utilizo para almacenar datos, o instalar algún programa. Fue enchufar y listo, lo detectó perfectamente.

die SSD von Samsung - egal ob EVO oder PRO - sind eigentlich führend aber auch doch teuer. Aber man kann hier eigentlich nichts falsch machen
