Type F for the win!
I was looking for Type F transmission fluid for a Ford C6 transmission at the local auto parts store, but they were nearly double the price and they never had enough on the shelf. Found these online, dumped them in my empty transmission, and my ride runs great! Don't know anything about it, but Hughes Performance recommends it
I don't know anything about transmission fluid properties, except one must keep the fluid both clean/fresh and relatively cool to ensure the transmission reaches its designed service life. I purchased a Hughes Performance TH-400 transmission and expected to fill it with GM fluid. However, when reading Hughes Performance literature, they stated, "Hughes Performance uses & recommends Castrol Type F Automatic Transmission fluid." That's why I purchased this fluid and have provided this review.
