MEASURING TEMPERATURE WITH JUST A CLICKThe Nubee NUB8750H is our newest model in 2019, new model has upgraded many user-friendly functions added into it, including two new functions: Max temperature and EMS adjustable function. Max temperature function can take the highest temperature of the area tested by scanning and save the data at the bottom of the screen. EMS adjustable function: each article has its suitable emissivity, the adjustable EMS function can make the test more accurate by adjust suitable emissivity for different articles.QUICK AND ACCURATE MEASUREMENT EVERY TIMENUB8750H temperature gun is a non-contact digital laser infrared thermometer that can measure accurate temperatures from distance. With a 16:1 DISTANCE SPOT RATIO, it means, as the distance from thermometer to the object increases, the spot size of measuring area become larger. accurately measure targets at larger measurement area with the same distance compared with other thermometers with DSR 12:1 or 8:1. You can easily measure anything, anywhere with just a click as long as the target object has a 0.1 to 1.0 emissivity. It also has a built-in laser pointer allows maximum accuracy on target aiming, and including a ±1.5% accuracy resolution. Point at the object you want, and get the temperature measurement instantly.Specification:Temperature Range: -50°C~750°C(-58°F~1382°F)Accuracy: ±1.5% or 1.5°CDistance Spot Ratio: 16:1Emissivity: Adjustable(0.1 to 1.0)Response Time Wavelength: 500ms(8-14)umRepeatability: ±1% or ±1°CResolution: 0.1°C or 0.1°F°C/°F SelectionData Hold FunctionLaser Target Pointer SelectionBacklight Display SelectionAuto Power Shut OffLow Battery IndicationNubee NUB8750H infrared thermometer had U.S. FDA, FCC, CE, ROHS approved. Fairly Accurate And Inexpensive
I have always wanted one of these and was skeptical when I saw this one for 12 bucks on Amazon. But that price proved hard for me to resist. I have a few things around the house that I wanted to use a non-contact thermometer for. For example, I have a betta fish and have to do fairly frequent water changes. I had heard that these infrared thermometers work fine on fluid. Obviously, I don't want to use my digital cooking thermometer on fish water. Or if I do, I have to remember to sanitize it before using it on food again. Occasionally when I cook I wouldn't mind having something like this to use to see what temps I'm getting on the pan and so forth. And it's just a handy thing to have around if you can get one that's reasonably accurate for a good price. I played with it for several hours when I first got it and I have found it to be reasonably accurate and surprisingly decent quality for the price. I don't really think most of it's shortcomings are related to it's low price. For example, it doesn't do well with shiny metal because infrared thermometers typically don't do well with shiny metal. It's a shortcoming of the design. There are probably infrared thermometers that can do it better than this one can but I doubt you can buy any of them for under 30 dollars. So....it's reasonably accurate for most things. It's usually more accurate the closer you are. The real advantage to these thermometers is no contact is necessary. You really probably shouldn't expect great things if you're farther away from something than a couple of feet. You can get a ballpark reading from across the room but it will get more accurate as you get closer to the spot you're trying to measure. The laser pointer is a general guide but the cone gets larger the farther away you are. So if you point it at a window from 10 feet away, you'll probably get something like an average temp in the general area of the window. Which is kind of useful, in some situations. If you want a precise temperature of the window sill, you need to be much closer. Anyway, I'm more than happy with it for the price. I bought this for general household use so I was not going to spend much more than I did for a similar product. You can certainly spend a lot more on a product such as this and probably get better accuracy if you need it for work or you need it to be absolutely accurate. I have two small cons....1. The emissivity setting is tedious to change. You have to press the button for each change. You can't just hold it down. It won't move unless you release the button and push it each time you want to make a change. Annoying.2. The connector for the battery feels a bit flimsy. It's the old 9 volt battery on a wire thing. If anything is gonna go wrong with this thing it will probably be that. Overall, the product does not feel cheap. It doesn't have a bad smell like you sometimes get with cheap electronics. The plastic is thick and doesn't feel like it'd break easily or be brittle. The screen is nicer than I'd have honestly expected for this price. Nice and easy to read. It kind of has a narrow field of readability so if it's turned too far, it gets washed out but that's not a big deal to me. From relatively straight on, it's very good. For this review. I confirmed my readings with a Taylor digital kitchen thermometer and other digital thermometers I have around the house that measure ambient temps. I would not expect absolutely perfect accuracy from anything that wasn't designed for use in professional science. You would definitely pay more. Maybe not a lot more (this is the only one I've tried) but more than 12 bucks.

Scifi utility must have
This thing rules. As an 80s baby I immediately found use for this thing besides my initial intent... fridge? Check. Oven/food? Check. Dog? Check. Guinea pig? Yep. Rats? Why not. Girlfriend? Pew pew yep still hot. For 10 bux you get the coolest laser pointer you could want, a light up blue screen, you can pretend you are in aliens and make lil blip noises as you check the temp across the room, or your dogs butt, bc why not? I hope this thing isnt giving us all cancer...Oh and if you want your dabs at that perfect temp, it gives you fairly acurate readings.

Not worth it for me.
The temps do not match what other temps give. I would hit a spot first time it is once temp the next time it is a totally different temp and never has given close to same temp twice. Next time ill spend a little more money to get a better product.

This will read the temperature of INANIMATE objects... not people.....
This does exactly what it claims to do, and as far as i'm concerned... does it well. The EMS in the name/title does NOT stand for Emergency Medical Services... It will NOT take a persons temperature. It will however, tell you the temperature of a inanimate object left out in the sun too long, or of anything else except people. I keep it in my 'accessories' tool box.It works, seems to be accurate, and to date... has proven to be durable.

A great tool at a great price
I bought this on a whim when the price dropped down to $20 and I was not sure if I would actually use it. However, the device has ended up being very useful. I initially used this for checking my appliances and computers to see how hot they are getting. I also have used this for testing the temperature at my vents to make sure my HVAC system is working properly. Furthermore, I have used this device to check for air infiltration and areas of my house that needed more insulation. The device itself is dead easy to use – point and shoot and you know instantly the temperature. By default, there is a red laser pointer that shows you where you are aiming (you can turn the laser off if you want). You have to be aware that the device actually measures a cone, not a point. If you are 12 feet away, the cone will be larger than if you are a foot away. There is a fancier version of this that has two lasers that show you the edges of the cone for about ten bucks more. I usually hold this about a foot from what I am measuring and it seems to have a pretty tight measuring beam. There are buttons to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. It automatically turns off after it is not used for a minute or so (to save battery). It takes a couple of seconds to turn on when you first use it. It has a great feature where it records the max temperature for the session. The build quality appears to be pretty good and it comes in bright orange so it is easy to spot when you are looking for it.

Can be a money saver.
Been wanting one like this for quite a while. Finally decide to get one. I have used it to check seals on refrigerators, freezers, windows and doors. It spotted temperature differents, identifying energy loss areas. After leaks fixed, heating cost dropped nearly 10%. It has paid for itself many times over.My wife uses it for checking cooking temperatures. It is not a lab accurate device but it does match my other thermometers within 2 to 3 degrees. .The only complaint I have is that the readout has no back lighting and the readout is not very bright. This makes it almost impossible to read in low light or from an angle.
