Sword Art Online 18 (light novel): Alicization Lasting (Volume 18)

I ordered it for my son and he loved it

As an anime-only for SAO despite being an SAO fan since the Aincrad anime arc came out I just couldn’t wait any longer. Since the anime was delayed to the summer I knew I could no longer contain my curiosity so I went ahead and bought this volume! It does seem like the anime ended somewhere before this volume - most likely volume 17. I’ll be honest I did cry a little bit here and there which was a more than welcome thing. My only problem with the book was that the book was bent a bit in the package so there is a crevice in it but given that was probably on the postal side and the fact that we’re in the middle of a pandemic I don’t really want to be - how should I say? A Karen about it. Overall great light novel and I’m definitely going to start buying the rest of the series! While Tensei Slime was my first LN to read I’m glad SAO has become my second LN.

First off, some reviews labeled this book as very long, but I didn't think so. The pacing was better than the last book and it wasn't so much jumping back and forth so it kept my attention better. I read it in just a few hours basically.The conclusion to the war was well done and what came next was a surprise that I rather enjoyed. I won't say much to avoid any spoilers, but the author did an excellent job of wrapping up such a compelling story arc and I can't wait to see what comes next.

The final fight in Underworld was almost cinematic in its detail, to the point that I felt as if I had just completed an epic journey. Once I realized it ended 2/3 of the way through the book, I started to wonder momentarily what else could possibly take place afterward. I was surprised to discover the interesting direction the story took, and the set-up for the following volume has me anticipating what will happen next!Overall, it was a very satisfying conclusion to the Alicization arc, and I am definitely looking forward to "Moon Cradle"!

The author of this monumental work has, I'm sure, been feeling the weight of world wide hopes for a clear and satisfying climax for this complex and emotional story arc. For myself, I'm stunned and amazed. While many questions and pathways still remain to look fotward to, the platform of Kirito and Asuna's world we can see remains as exiting and enthralling as when I first glimpsed it years ago. Still looking forward to more, in awe!

It wouldn't be wrong of me to say it was long. It was. Really long.But I'm so glad I've stuck through it all and that I've been a fan of this series for so long. I couldn't imagine not being one. SAO has changed me, and I hope it inspired others.

This is one of my most favorite series, and this finale to the Alicization arc was beautiful and great. I’m so excited to read what happens next!!!

the conclusion of alicization, and a cliff hanger for the next Arc. If you like SAO, pick it up, it's worth the read.

ohh my god I really don’t know where to beginThe last volume of the alicization arc is a masterpiece it has everything from the continuation of the story in the underworld then to the conclusion in the real world then again back to the underworld I felt like going through all these realms along with Kirtio and experiencing this long journey with him.The story should have been completely concluded in this volume but it doesn’t really tell what happened with Higa and kirtio’s copy and Heathcliff is always mentioned in a vague waySo I really look forward to reading the next arcIf u are a fan READ THE DAMN THING DONT JUST WATCH THE ANIMEand if u r new to this story I highly recommend reading the story from the beginning but u really have to be patient about the harem stuff I really find it a bit annoying but it’s a minor problem.Highly recommend
