f-stop – Small Pro Camera Insert - Internal Pack Storage for Photo Gear Carry Protection

I just purchased an F-Stop Luka UL backpack. Like other F-Stop bags, you purchase the backpack and then you populate the backpack with various inserts such as an ICU. The F-Stop Luka UL which is 37 liters volume will take up to 2 Small Pro ICU's or 1 Large ICU. I ordered 4 of the Small Pro ICU's because I use them both for organization at home and for protection on the road. I am very happy with the quality of the F Stop ICU's and highly recommend them if they fit your use model.First, the quality of the ICU is very high and the ICU comes in a very nice bag - great packaging. The materials are high quality and appear water and dirt resistant. There is a carrying handle so you can easily pick it up and there are Velcro straps so you can attach it to the frame of an F-Stop backpack. The zipper has two zips each with a nice tassel and secure plastic grip. Inside, the ICU is wrapped with a light grey fabric that Velcro can stick to. There are enough Velcro dividers and the default is 6 compartments. The walls of the ICU are stiff and but the lid is a foam insert inside of the outside material (could be a bit stronger).Usage: The ICU is a box 8" x 12" and stands 7" high. For me, I bought 4 of the ICU's and I use colored handles to tell them apart. The lenses that stand vertically in my system are the Zeiss 21mm, Zeiss 18mm, Canon 100mm Macro, 17-40mm Zoom, Canon 24-105mm Zoom. I found that the Canon 70-200mm needs to lie in the long direction and takes up 1/2 of an ICU. Camera bodies fit nicely into the compartments as well (5D type).I have 4 of the ICU's because I would normally travel with 1 or 2 inside of the F Stop Luka UL backpack. And, it makes it easy to organize your lenses/flashed into the high use grab kit and the lower use lenses. I would generally have the 5D body, Canon 24-70mm f2.8, small flash, and a choice of a 70-200mm or the 11-24mm. All in a lunch box sized kit that doesn't weigh in at 25 lbs like the bigger backpacks. Just looking at those bigger backpacks gives me a back ache.So, in summary, compact, high quality, easy to organize, expandable by adding a second, lightweight, protective. All good.

I probably have the most niche of niche uses for this product, but it works. The f-stop small camera insert fits the Fisher and Paykel SteepStyle CPAP machine perfectly, then it all fits in the lower third of the Evergoods CTB35. Yes I know the machine comes with a travel bag, but it is way less than ideal. If you’re looking for a better travel solution for your F&P SleepStyle this is it. It probably work ok for camera gear too.

I purchased this with the hopes of fitting some of my camera gear into my waterproof backpack for some of our more extreme adventures. This bag is able to hold my 5D MIV body with the 70-200 and my 16-35 lenses as well as a few extras. It slides right into my backpack and I am ready to head out! The dividers are nice to be able to change around the position to accommodate different lenses. The reason why I got this ICU over the other option is because I can put my body in sideways with a long lens on it, like pictured in the Amazon photos. I also got the smallest one because I am just using it for back country adventures and I am tight on space. Very happy with my purchase and it has already survived a trip to Costa Rica and I was super happy with the performance.

I use this in a standard backpacking style backpack to minimize weight and to gain the benefit of a proper harness and belt system to tote the weight of a camera. I have even managed to store my Canon 300mm f2.8 IS with the hood on in it. with some room to spare. Really great for smaller kits too.

I like these ICU's a lot, I have 5 of them for various things and sizes. I just hate the price. But overall a well made product line when used in a system.

I liked the ICU itself but just a little awkward for my needs. I really wanted to like these ICU’s trying the medium shallow, small shallow and this small pro but they just didn’t quite work for my gear, being either too small or too big for my needs. These are on the more expensive side but solid design. Ended up returning all and going with the Lowepro Photo Sport 300 bag.

Loved using this in my backpack. Worked great and kept everything safe.
