MAVA Men’s Shorts for Basketball, Workout Shorts w/Pocket & Loose Fit | Gym Shorts, Athletic Shorts for Running

I am in constant search for shorts that work. I am officially throwing away half a dozen pairs of ones that didn’t live up to these and they on average cost twice or three times the price. I have bought mava’s compression shorts and gloves for years and they are awesome by the way and regret not trying the shorts before now. Very comfy, true to size, waistband is awesome on these, giant pockets that hold the big iPhone, and hit 3 or 4 inches above my knee. Perfect. I wanted shorter shorts for my tall frame but I wanted something in between basketball shorts and tiny ridiculous shorts. For the price these are beyond perfect. I don’t wear shorts to the gym because of how picky I am about them but I WILL wear these to the gym all summer long. MAVA should do shirts and more apparel if this is how well they can nail compression and these shorts. The workout gloves are my go to - I buy a New pair about every year or so. Bottom line - Buy the shorts friends. You will thank me and MAVA.

Awesome pair of workout shorts! I believe this is a relatively now product for mava because most of the reviews for this product seem to be for their compression shorts. I wanted to clarify that my review is for the product shown.Fit: I’m 6’1” 210lbs 32”waist. I usually wear a medium in gym shorts but these fit a little small for me. That being said the waist fit was spot on for me. The leg openings are a bit smaller than most medium gym shorts I own. The shorts are relatively short but that’s what I like. Hindsight I probably would’ve ordered a large. My quads are larger than average though.Quality: I’ve only worn once so far but the material and stitching seem very nice. Quality is on par with much higher priced shorts. The material has a great 4 way stretch and breathes really well with the laser cut holes on the sides. I would imagine a larger size would breath even better. They also dry out pretty fast but I can see the waist band material retaining moisture after a workout. The waist band is similar to what you might find on sweatpants but it has an elastic band within it.

This pair of shorts was of a quality far beyond my expectations, especially for the price. The waistband is wide and comfortable rather than cutting into your midsection, which is great. They are very lightweight, but seem extremely well stitched and constructed in every respect. Now after all these great features, I'll tell you that because I was looking for something a bit more fitted to wear over a new pair of MAVA compression shorts (that I love), I returned this high quality piece of clothing, because as much as I like them, I don't have a legitimate need for shorts like this. I was looking for something with a comfortable waistband like this, but slimmer and maybe even shorter, just to provide modest covering for the compression shorts. It was really hard putting them back in the mail. If you are looking for a great looking well made super-comfortable pair of gym shorts for basketball or working out, or even running, or even general wear in the summer, I would love these.

This workout shorts feels and looks great! It felt very comfortable regardless if I was going for some cardio like running or cycling or lifting some really heavy stuff in the gym. The elastic waist band helped a lot especially when I was running because the waist stays in place well.I bought the workout shorts last month and considering that I am going to the gym 3-5 times a week I can definitely say now that this shorts are of really great quality!

I like the way these shorts fit. At 6’ 200lbs. I ordered a large. They fit a couple inches above the knee and feel, slightly loose and comfortable. The material is soft and breathable. I will be using these to workout in 2-3 times/week. Depending on wear, I will order some more. These are honestly the best workout shorts I have found - as far as fit/price point. I just have to see how they hold up.

Meh. I don't love the waist band.. but others might. The fit is good and true to size. The material is substantial and moisture wicking, although I think I prefer cotton. Overall okay

This is the second pair of pants I purchased within a couple of months, and it lives up to the advertised quality. The only issue is that the second one ripped at the seam within a couple of weeks. Apart from that, it's a good product.Update:After I posted the review, the company promptly contacted me and immediately shipped another pair of pants. I am highly impressed with their quick response. I've been using the first pair in the gym without any issues; it washes well, etc. While I acknowledge that things can happen and the second pair was defective, I definitely endorse getting these pants.
