If you haul stuff in a truck bed, you need these!
Overall I'm happy with the Box Links. I will say the installation was a bit difficult on the first one due to issues I had getting the locked part into the plate. After fiddling around with the first one the others went a little smoother.Follow the directions and run the screws in and out of the pre-drilled and threaded holes in the truck bed sides before actual installation. This will cut away the paint over spray from inside the threads and make the installation easier. I have a small can that is a mixture of paraffin, beeswax and a few drops of engine oil melted together (An old cabinetmaker concoction for helping to drive screws into hard woods) that I used and it really does help. The box links, after installation look great. The paint color actually matches my truck bed very well, so they look like factory items.Highly recommended by a real user.

Great
This product is great easy to install and good instructions definitely recommend if you don’t have a Bedliner in already to install this first unless your bedliners got very easy access to all four holes which mine didn’t but not a big deal I worked around it no fault to the product just a heads up but it is doable but as far as the product itself it’s great definitely quality just like everything else I’ve purchased that’s ronin

Install these correctly before bashing them!
I was livid that, like another person, I had installed the plates without issue, but the posts were hard to attach and easy to pull out, BUT, it’s because I installed them with the plate looking like a T shape, since that’s what the pic looks like on the included literature (a card).... that’s wrong. You want the plate to look like an upside-down T. You’ll push the anchor in and slide it up, then lock it in place with the key. You cannot possibly pull them out if installed correctly. You will bend the bed wall before they come out. They are super sturdy. There is a video (as of this writing) on YouTube from Ronin that shows the proper method for installing these if you want to watch someone do it first. It wasn’t until I watched that that I realized the issue.

Fix your Images!
I wish I'd dug into the reviews a bit deeper before installing! As others have noted, the images and graphics included with the product show it install upside down more often than not. I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who fell victim to this, so I got to do the dance of removing and reinstalling in Texas summer time. In removing the cleats to re-install them in the correct orientation, some of the power coating flaked off - disappointing, but noting a bit of touch up paint can't correct.Other than that - truly painless install - used a bit of mechanics lube and a Dewalt impact driver, and had no problems with 15 of the 16 mounting screws. One of the holes was evidently a bit more blocked with spray-in bed liner and it wanted to thread at an angle. Simple to correct, just re-started with one of the spare screws.I chose to install all the screws before removing them to install the plates - using a single screw to thread results in it getting hot enough to burn fingers.

Great Product - Speciality Power Tool Recommended
Absolutely a great product and the instructions were spot on. As stated in the materials you need an impact driver to thread the holes (2018 F150 XLT) but with a little grease it was easy to do. I already had a ford drop in bed liner so I had to navigate that and flex it out a little to align to a couple of the holes but was no problem. Tip- If you have a drop-in bed liner stuff a rag along the bottom so that if you drop a screw or the driver bit comes out it will not fall down b/t the liner and bed. Great thinking to include a couple extra screws and driver bit. Thumbs up-recommend accessory.

Quality product by Ronin
Quality product and quality packaging by Ronin that makes it worth any extra costs versus cheap Chinese knockoffs. Included 2 keyed torx bits and an extra set of 4 screws. Only complaint, didn't include a more limber installer since my 74 yr old bones and joints aren't as foldable as they used to be. Can't go wrong with this kit.

Powder coat chipped off of backing plate
When I was doing by hand (not with impact driver) final tightening of the mounting plate screws one of the plates badly flaked off a large piece of the black powder coating. The screw was not overtightened. I was using a handheld nut driver. I did of course use an impact driver when threading the screws and that process worked fine. It was just the very last turn of one screw that broke out a corner. I am disappointed because these are quite expensive and the plate with the chipped off finish doesn't look good at all. The other three mounting plates are fine and the cleats seem well made. I think it is just poor powder coating that wasn't adhered well.
