Haldirams - Soan Papdi 250Gms, Sweet, 8.75 Ounce

i bought this late at night because i saw a video of it being made on facebook, and let me tell you ... it did not disappoint! i had very few expectations as to what it was or what it would taste like, and if i were to try to describe it, i can only say its like a cross between shortbread and halvah. its sweet and buttery like shortbread, but crumbly and flaky like halvah, and the nuts provide a really nice textural contrast. it is very sweet (it is a sweet after all lol) but it is flavorful and pleasant and if you are at all adventurous and looking for something new to try, i very very highly recommend this. it was packaged well, the outer box was wrapped in cellophane, the tray inside the box was wrapped in a heavy duty heat sealed bag, and the tray itself had a heat sealed top. it was super fresh tasting, i did not have any concerns whatsoever about it having gone "off" as a result of exposure to air, it was very, very well wrapped. there were 8 pieces in the box, which were each a little bit bigger than 1 inch square (or about 3 1/2 centimetres square). overall, i am extremely happy with my purchase and will probably purchase again.

I had dreams about this delight, and am so glad I found it again. Delicious, but a small amount is all you need. This box lasted quite some time because I rationed myself.

Okay, this tickled my tastebuds like nobody’s business. First of all, I love Indian food. I’m down for a curry. So I thought I would try this little snack cake made with nuts and cardamom. Not bad. It’s a bit different but I like it.

Delicious! This is the best brand of boxed Soan Papdi. It arrives fresh and tastes great.

I rarely write a negative review, but in my opinion, this deserves one!!! I cannot believe the picture on thebox is a photo! I think it's artwork, because, this falls apart, crumbles into a mess and doesn't even resemble the picture on the box!!! Very deceptive! I agree with the person who said they have to try and eat it with a spoon! And even that would not be not easy, because it, still falls apart!In fact, I challenge those who gave this great reviews, to share a photo they took of their pieces, to show that it looks just like the ones on the package!!! Sorry, it didn't work for me, and I tried to duplicate the nice, clean, sharp, look of the pieces on the package!!!

The individual pieces are stuck together and it is impossible to get them out without them falling apart. I did like the packaging, the tray was sealed and inside another sealed bag inside the box.

My first experience was gifted to me. This is SOOOO amazingly yummy. Doesn't last long, but totally because of rapid consumption. Not GF, Not Sugar Free, has nuts. If you don't have these restraints, it is a real treat. And the seller ships really quickly.
