...I bought this battery as a spare replacement for my AT-VBR59 that came with my camcorder. I was surprised that this one, for a fraction of the price of the 59, was a larger capacity battery with the same LEDs for checking power percentage. I have only used it a few times so far, but gotta say, I am impressed with it at this point, and can't wait to get out into the field to give it some location testing. I do Nature/Wildlife photography primarily, so I need a lot of extra power when I am far from charging options, which is why I want to have reliable, yet affordable extra batteries.

Works perfectly on my AG-DVX200 camcorder. Much much cheaper than Panasonic's. Battery life seems good but can't say for sure that it's better than the included one. Still, for the price, it's nice to have a backup battery in case I need it.Fit and finish is good, and the built in battery level check works fine.

You can’t beat it for the price, maybe not quite as good run time as the Panasonic band, but it’s far less expensive.

Works fine with my Panasonic dvx200. Not sure why one of the reviews states that it doesn't. It does! I have 3 of them.

Worked for a few shoots but stopped charging. This is also supposed to last longer but didn't.

we charge our Panasonic batteries after each production. While the Wasabi new was fantastic, after a year or so it lost a great deal of life (we bought two). The battery this review is about is just a new one to replace the old ones. They are great for the price, but will likely a have a shelf life shorter than expected.
