AMAZING!! Wash (just about) everything you took to Burning Man in this and watch the playa dust slide right off!! Good as new!Important note: Rinse well or use the recommended consentation. You want the pH nurtalized - not thrown the other way.When I say rinse- I mean I soak it in plain water. I did this to dilute/break up the calgon residue, and also .. I lack a hose.As instructed, use with your cloths in the washer.But, for my tent - I soaked it in the tub with a "half cap" (for close to an hour) then rinsed twice. A little "grape-stomping" helped too. It was easier, and came out cleaner, than the spray down I gave it last year! Practically shining! 😍Then, for my bike (which had been sitting dusty for weeks) - I disassembled it and soaked the parts. I made the mistake of making a super thick batch of calgon water on the first soak tho, and perceived some corosion starting. So I lightened it up and soaked in plain water for 15mins -after lightly scrubbing some stubborn areas. .. The result? WOW!! She shines like new & looks better than before we went! (Don't forget to oil afterwards.)I am hesitant to use it on my car however, though I may do so once I see how my tent and bike hold up over time.Also, if you are sensitive, wear gloves - it wasn't a big deal tho.

I believe that soft water is SO much better than fabric softeners. I now live in a condo so a central water softener is not possible. The only problem with this delivery — slight leakage from the containers. Not the company mailing. Calgon needs to secure their caps. The leakage was mild so I will order it again- but Calgon needs to change the container security.

Calgon is a water softener that I exceptionally bought because the previous owner of the house I live in never took care of the washing machine and it was full full full of disgusting residue. I tried everything and million times to clean the appliance, but always i would have residues in my laundry. After soda, vinegar, soda and vinegar or acid citric I bought just one bottle of Calgon. Residues come from an excessive and inefficient use of bad and polluting laundry products and also from the quality of water which result in scale deposits. After a while it can damage your appliances if you do not take care of it. I bought Calgon which was famous in Europe a few years ago. You need to use just a little bit each time you wash your laundry. First put the laundry detergent and Calgon pour the water and then your clothes for a good result. Your clothes not only will be softened, but your machine will get progressively cleaner. Once I will have finished the bottle my laundry machine should be ok then I will switch for vinegar which is more natural, cheaper and and not as aggressive for environment. I will clean the appliance once a month with soda and vinegar and it will be ok. That being said I am glad I found this bottle because progressively I see my appliance in much better condition than it was.

This is great stuff especially for your RV. After dumping your black and grey water tanks just mix a cap full of Calgon with a half cup of Gain or tide with a gallon or two of water and pour down the toilet and do the same your kitchen or bathroom sink. While you drive the mixture will coat your tanks and make them slick so that toilet paper and other stuff do not stick to the insides of your tanks. It will also keep your tanks smelling fresh.But as one reader said you can get this much cheaper from Walmart. I just ordered my next two bottles and will pick up today for only $5.34 a 32 oz bottle plus tax. Walmart also offers free two day shipping.Come on Amazon you got to compete so lower your prices to meet Walmart and I'll buy my next order from you.

This stuff is amazing! A friend told me about removing stains with it and I thought she was kidding. However, I New Year’s Eve, my mom splashed barbecue sauce all over her white fluffy jacket and she was so upset. I am mediately applied Calgon and rubbed it in to the stains and then wash the jacket on gentle cycle. It came out looking brand new. Wow! My mom was so happy and I will definitely purchase the stuff again. I have two kids that stay in their clothes constantly and have yet to find something that will get the stains out. I am pretty sure this will do it no problem.

I use a mid-level quality detergent (All) which normally cleans my clothes just fine, but we recently moved to a new city and my clothes kept coming out with white streaks/splotches, and it was driving me crazy. They'd wash out in the next load, but I'd just have more/different white spots. Did a little research and found that hard water is the most common cause of this. Since there were mineral deposits on the undersides of all of our faucets that we had to chip off when we moved in, I figured it was a good bet that was our problem. First wash with one cupful of Calgon and all of my black clothes came out black again. Wish I had discovered this months ago. (Research hinted that the top-level detergents, like Tide, are already mixed with what takes care of hard water deposits, but having to buy both All and Calgon still doesn't add up to the price of Tide, so I'm happy having to use 2 products.)
