I bought the ORDTBY waterproof case while preparing for a rafting trip in the Alaskan interior. Before leaving I subjected the case to the testing procedure suggested by the manufacturer, and it passed. What was not anticipated was a capsizing incident where I was held below rushing water while trapped in the branches of a fallen tree; my phone attached to a cord in a soft open pouch rigged to my wading belt. By the grace of saints I was able to grasp a limb and lift my head out of that mess. The full current of a sharp river bend still pushed against my torso. Eventually, I made my way to an outer point of the tree where I caught hold of a strap thrown by my companion. Recovering from the shock of the accident I addressed my condition, finding my phone remaining in the pouch, yet fully submerged in water. It had also endured a powerful thrust of water for twenty minutes. Then, with the press of a finger, the home screen came alive. This is my first review of any product, and I swore I would write it because of surviving the circumstances. This particular phone case, in this particular instance, work beyond my, and any reasonable, expectations.

Have been using this case for about a month now and it has performed well. I was paddle boarding on a lake with my niece and she and I fell in. I didn’t realize until a while later that my phone (in this case) was in my leggings pocket. When I pull the phone out by the strap, which is great to just hook around your wrist for security, My phone was wet on the outside of the case and bone dry on the inside. I also took it to the beach and forgot to put the strap around my wrist and dropped it in the sand and it was fine as well. The reason for the 4 stars is that when on a call I have been told I sound muffled unless I am using my headphones. I took my phone out the case and they told me I sounded much better and it is also kind of hard to hear unless on speaker phone or headphones. Also the touchscreen is a little slow in response time but I think I am the blame for that as I did not want to remove my screen protector since the plastic seemed a little iffy to me. All and all I am happy it did what it said it would do, protect my phone from water, sand ... elements in general.

Pros: Fits the iPhone XR nicelyCons: Quickly gets debris inside the case. Got water in the case when it was not submerged just in my life jacket pocket while whitewater paddling. Nobody can hear me at all when I call. This case fails at everything except fitting the phone nicely.

UPDATE: I ordered a second one, because 2 weeks after getting my first one, I totally scratched the screen protector on my job. But it protected the phone perfectly. Great case. I’ll continue to use itRevised:Changed to 4 stars because I learned something interesting about this case. I’m guessing because of its construction, people cannot hear me when using it on speaker mode. They say it echoes, and they miss every other word. I thought at first it was being in an area with poor coverage, but it has happened every time I use speaker mode and am holding the phone away from my mouth. But when holding phone up and speaking directly into it, seems to work fine. Just something to be aware of if you use your phone on speaker mode a lot when on the phone.I have used several covers. Bring in construction, I need a good solid case, but not so bulky that it’s awkward. This one seems to be good. Other cases, while offering good protection, let dust in, and after a few days, I have to take them apart to clean them, as dust gets between the iPhone decrees and the case protector screen. So far, this case seems good at keeping the dust out, offering good protection, and not too bulky.

I didn’t expect much but I’ve had this now for five months and so far it has protected my phone from multiple drops on everything from asphalt to ceramic tile (once) to laminate floors. Literally the phone was totally unaffected. This is the slimmest case I’ve ever had that provides such good protection. I can slip it in my back pocket easily. I do not have a separate screen protector—just the clear plastic of the case. No loss of touch sensitivity (I’m a rapid typer). Since the pandemic started I am also able to spray down the entire thing in isopropyl alcohol until it’s dripping multiple times a day and not only does it keep out all moisture, the case itself is not affected by the alcohol at all.. I’ve never dunked it in water, but it’s gotten pretty wet on enough occasions I can say it does what it claims. The only downside is that the lightning port flap is so effective at waterproofing when closed, I have to open it sometimes for people to hear me when I’m talking on speaker phone (it’s near the speaker), but I use AirPods most of the time anyway. So yeah, hopefully I don’t jinx it by writing this review, but five months in, going strong.

I used this case exclusively for 2 weeks in the Caribbean and could not be happier. I snorkeled, dove, swam, jumped, and used it out of the water and it performed perfectly. Pro Hint: To take a photo/video underwater use the volume buttons as capacitive screens don't work especially in salt water.PROs:Price: Buying this case is a no-brainer.Waterproof: I tested down to 20-30ft and it was 100% waterproof. The phone is highly water resistant but salt water is nasty.Sandproof: Turns out beaches have lots of sand that likes to get in and mess up electronics. Not with this case.Size: The case is not bulky or difficult to use. Better than name-brand full protection HUGE cases.Screen/Phone Performance: No issues at all using the phone in or out of the water.Action Cam Replacement: We have 2 GoPros and I chose just using my phone over them.CONs:Protection: First - I dropped/threw my phone accidentally and it was just fine. The screen protector though is more to make the phone waterproof than protect it. The screen of the case is likely to be scratched pretty easily. In a hard hit not sure if it would protect the screen but the body is very well protected.Charging Port: It is waterproof and works BUT it is a bit difficult to move to charge
